Cool, thanks very much for the reply, Keith. What's the current ETA on that update you're making?
In the mean time, I'm still trying to figure out how to convert my HighChart URL into a dataURL. Any insight on that?
Thanks!

- KeithJusas8 years agoQrew Captainprobably by end of the day tomorrow. I have a few other changes to implement with this as well
- KeithJusas8 years agoQrew CaptainA client of mine in the Biotech industry creates some really cool molecular structure images in dataURL format and they look great in EF+ (but in subtables right now). I'm not sure what she's using to do the conversions but if you wait a bit Dan may have a solution for you
- JoshWeeman8 years agoQrew Assistant CaptainThanks Keith. If you glean any info on that from your client, I'd love to know. I've never worked with dataURLs, so I have some learning to do there.
- KeithJusas8 years agoQrew CaptainShe says they use chemdraw but they have to manually upload the converted dataURL endcoding into their quickbase table after they complete their drawing
it looks like a scripting solution is needed...since you want to generate the dataURL dynamically from a chart report - JoshWeeman8 years agoQrew Assistant CaptainAh, I see. Thanks for inquiring.
Yes I agree, seems like a scripted method for converting the URL will be required to make this a workable solution. We'd want the HighChart URL to be converted to a dataURL on the fly as the EFP report is run. - _anomDiebolt_8 years agoQrew Elite> if you wait a bit Dan may have a solution for you
There are multiple ways to to get an image from a chart but I am backed up at the moment. The issue is not really how to do it technically but the workflow and additional storage saving the image will consume and regenerating the image just prior to accessing the exact form.
@Keith - What is the limitation on EFP needing to be open to everyone on the internet that supports this statement?
"Unfortunately according to Juiced, in order for this to work, your application has to be open to the Everyone on the Internet role, which won't work for us."
I don't understand the computational model of EFP and what authentication is needed. Is the issue that you have to have all data fields statically available when first initiating the generation of an EFP document (in other words there is not JavaScript environment available to dynamically generate the chart).
I will probably not look at the dataURL issue till the weekend but feel free to contact me via the information in my profile as you probably have other workflow issues involved that I do not know about:

I am more than happy to help test any potential workflows that may come out of the discussion. - _anomDiebolt_8 years agoQrew EliteI have a simple script solution that does not use dataURLs (and consequently will not consume storage in your application. My solution does not involve any extra services and can be used with both Exact Forms and Exact Forms Plus from Juiced.
Feel free to contact me off-world using the information in my profile if you want to pursue this solution:
