Table-to-Table Relationship

Hi,

I want to create a new relationship between two tabs to look up two fields.
The relationship setting is done, but the value didn't pick up from the other tab.
I don't know how to fix it.

If any other info needed, I could provide.

Thanks

Echo

    Juanru,

To look up a field from a parent table, you have to edit the relationship.

From either the Parent or Child table, Click the settings Icon

Then click Table to Table relationships

This will show you all the relationships for the table.  Click on the on that you want to pass data from the Parent to the Child

Now click the button Add Lookup Fields

Then you select the fields from the Parent that the Child will inherit.

Now you can use that information in the forms and workflows of your Child Table.

Don, you helped me last week with a phone call.  Thank you much.app

Now, I also have a similar problem with the T-T relationship.  I followed your instructions to Juanru, but it didn't link up.  Would you have time for a short call you proxy into my app and help me?

  • Hello,

If you created the relationship already, you may just need to create the lookup fields for the relationship.  If you did not select the fields you wanted to see in the child table when you created the relationship, you need to go into the table settings.  To do this, navigate to the one of the tables you just created in the new relationship and then click the settings gear in the upper left hand of the screen under the list of tables.  From here, select the Table-to-Table Relationships and select the relationship you want to create the fields in.  The right hand side will be the child table, and you can create your lookup fields by clicking Add Lookup field and then finding the field you want to add.
