Take related record ID and display text

I have a child table embedded in a form that allows our users to select quantity and type of an item. From there I am calculating costs of total "windows" for example.

If they want (2) of window "1" and (3) of window "2" right now they fill out the table in the form and I have a summary field from my child table to my parent table that reports a Minimum record ID and a second minimum record ID in order to get both windows seperated in fields that I can work with on a word document for EFP with Field ID's.

So far I am only getting the "related window" (1) showing up. I cant get all of the related window sizes to show up.
Meaning on my form,  I am only seeing the number/ Record ID rather than the actual name of the Window its referencing. What am I overlooking.
In the picture below I want "37" to read "3x2" or whatever window its referencing.  Or a field that I can do that.

  • I believe what you need to do is based off of those Min Rec ID#, build relationships to get the related fields.

I have messed with the relationships some and haven't figured out what I am doing wrong as of yet. I can see the related window and the window size on my child table. But in the picture in the original post is from my form. I want the related window size for each "minimum record ID" field to show up on the form as well.

      Thank you,

When you have a relationship and the Key field of the parent table is a meaningless Record ID# field, then you need to do a lookup field for a field which will be meaningful to your users. Then edit the related parent field and in its field properties you set the Proxy field.  That is the "better dressed" version of the [related parent] field which can be seen by the public.  Then put that proxy field on the form instead of the Related Parent field.
