Time Card Report

Hi there,

I have created a time card report (for previous 14 days) for 10 of my team members.  A few of those team members have not entered any time card records and are therefore not showing up on the report.  Is there a way to show those employee names on the report even though they have not entered any hours in the past 14 days? Right now it looks as if those employees are not part of the custom report.

  • That's funny. I just resolved that very same issue here. I have a scheduled job that automatically creates records for time-sheets for all eligible employees every Sunday, for the following week. Now I can pull a report of all time-sheets that do not have any hours reported. We wait for the week to end before sending out an email just to those who have not entered hours.
  • You would need to make this a list of employees, instead of a report of time cards.  Perhaps you could show a summary of time card hours and / or # of time cards in the last 14 days on the report as summary fields.
  • Thanks for your help! Is it possible to write a formula to show those employees with "blank" timecards?  Or is this not possible because they have not even created a timecard record?
  • You cannot make a report of records which do not exists. 

    Hence that is why I suggested making a report of employees, and then using a summary field on a relationship, to sum up their count of time cards entered in the last 14 days and their total hours in the last 14 days.  Then show those two columns on the Employees report.

    Okay, I've created the report you suggest.  I was able to add the look up field for the "total hours in the last 14 days".  How do I "sum up their count of time cards"?

      Well, if they enter 1 time card per day, then you would make an additional Summary fields and there is an option to count records.
