You will need to build an Automation to do that.

@Mark Shnier (YQC) We have this exact same requirement. Is this accomplished with a Pipeline, QB Action, or something else? I've seen a few references to "building an automation" but it's not entirely clear which automation type to create.

I suggest using an Automation or a Pipeline. Automations will be allowed to be created until about January 21, 2022 and after that it's a plunge into Pipelines.
To set up an Automation (which is a bit easier than a Pipeline), you navigate to Automations and the Settings and its pretty straight forward to create the Automation to trigger when the status is changed and then to take some actions. Maybe that and post back if you get stuck.

In 2022 are they simply not allowing you to create NEW automations, or will automations completely cease to function anymore? My understanding was that they were forcing us to migrate completely over. If our existing automations will still function, but we just can't create new ones, that would be music to my ears! I'm dreading the migration.

On about Jan 22nd, 2020 presumably with the January release, they will turn off the ability to create new Automations. Since last June, New QuickBase Accounts have not been able to create Automations so they only know about Pipelines.
But Automations will continue to run for a full year until January 2023. So that will be your project for 2022. One tip is to be sure you think through who the owner is of the automation before you Migrate it as that will be the pipeline owner when it gets converted.
