Using SaveBeforeNavigating with GenRecordAddForm and &IFV=10

My goal is:

Add a record using 'Open as Popup'. Add &IFV=10 to my add record to clean up the popup.
On that popup, utilize a custom 'Save and New' RIch Text button (there are reasons I don't want to use the native button).

To build my custom Save and New, I simply used the new class='SaveBeforeNavigating' function, and then direct to a URL. Works great normally, but when in the window that is 'clean' (no headers due to &IFV=10) I get the following Error:


Does anyone know why that happens and if there is a better/different way to accomplish my goal?
