what common QB solution can I use for this business pattern?

I'm sure this business' requirements are not unique, so I am wondering what type of QB solution to use.
Any help or direction appreciated.
At first I thought this was basic project management, but it does not suit their day to day work flow.

Each day the owner creates a list of projects and assigns names and equipment to go to that job.
When he is assigning to a project he wants to see a list of names and a list of equipment to choose, then select one or more of each to visit that job site. Once a name or equipment is assigned it should either be removed from the list or disabled on the list so that it cannot be assigned to the subsequent projects for that particular day.

Sounds simple, but with my limited experience, I can't think of how to do this.
Can a regular project management template do this? I'm aware that it is similar to assigning resources to a task, but the way they want to view it and assign it is different. And I am not familiar with setting it up to add picklists as a resource

thanks
Johnny

  • The two relationships would be

    One Job has Many People
    One Job has Many Equipments.

Every day the owner would grid edit the list of people and assign them to an Open Job.  TYhere is a way to get a Grid edit to limit the drop down choices.

    Ditto for Equipments.

Alternatively the Owner can do a regular record edit of each People and each Equipments one by one.
