When I use predescessors on a task, it does not auto-populate the start date based on the previous task's completion date. I'm wondering if this is a setting that might have been turned off and I don't know how to turn it back on? Any suggestions?

Looks like this is still happening. I had the same problem and used your advice to delete the Predecessor field and create it again.

  Yes, I have had this same issue and it was driving us crazy. We had to delete the predecessor field and recreate it.
