November Qrew Meet Up Recap
Hello Manufacturing Qrew! Thank you all who were able to attend today’s Manufacturing Qrew Meet Up. Here’s a quick recap of the meeting: Jen Clark from General Sheet Metal shared her Purchase Order App + Sage 100 Integration and Delivery Management Dashboards. She emphasized how Quickbase helped save her team money on wasted scrap and became more efficient removing duplicate data efforts across the org. They plan to add additional apps, add a mobile component with FastField and more. If you are interested in learning more about how Jen set up the Sage integration, please reach out and I’ll be happy to make an introduction! The group had a had a great conversation on the difference between Power BI and Quickbase and ways their companies handle different use cases that might need a Quickbase App vs Power Apps. Definitely worth listening to if you are evaluating the difference between these tools. Kory Hoppes, Solutions Consultant, shared how to create secure links with the audience. There are few other items he wanted to share, and we’ll be recording and sharing those as a Qrew tip in the new future. Hello Manufacturing Qrew! Thank you all who were able to attend Wednesday’s Manufacturing Qrew Meetup. Here’s a quick recap of the meeting: Scott Galloway, Sr. Manager – Solutions Architect, shared how to plan and build with App Scalability in mind. He used fun analogies on how to build solutions horizontally for various business use cases. Below is a screenshot from the presentation that describes instances where scaling horizontally makes the most sense. There are exceptions to the rule, but Scott mentioned that if you score in the medium to high range in these categories, planning for scalability will be critical to its performance. 3. Scott also mentioned tools customer can use such as performance insights, performance analyzer, and governance scorecard to monitor and help plan for scaling and optimal performance. We’re here to help! Reach out to your AE and CSM to discuss the tools mentioned above or share you interest in partnering with Scott’s Solution Architect team for guidance. Hello Manufacturing Qrew! Thank you to all who were able to attend Wednesday’s Manufacturing Qrew Meet Up! Here’s a quick recap of the meeting: I want to thank Sarah Rhyne, Director of Customer Advisory – Manufacturing, for sharing her career journey, her goals and vision, and giving everyone a quick glimpse into upcoming Manufacturing Apps that are going to be available in the Exchange soon. I’m looking forward to V2 of the OSHA Tracking, Site Safety Audits, and Shop Floor Management app. If you are interested in trying these apps out, V1 is available now in the Exchange. We ran a Menti and hosted a discussion to gather feedback on your excitement level for new apps in the Exchange, challenges your facing in the manufacturing industry, what topics we should focus on our monthly Qrew Meetings. My biggest takeaway was that a few customers are curious how much customization they would need to do to make these apps work for them. They would like a demo showcase using data, a deep dive into the apps, and actionable steps on how they can set up something similar to demonstrate our Manufacturing apps’ full capabilities. What was your takeaway? Feel free to share your thoughts to me and I’ll be happy to discuss this with our Quickbase Manufacturing team. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will help shape our next agenda in upcoming meetings. If you missed the session, here’s the recording link and password: Passcode: u5vGDC#c Our next meeting is going to be on Wednesday September 4th. Be sure to sign up and save the date on your calendar. Thank you! Thank you and have a great weekend!Magic Wand
If you had a magic wand, and its only power was that it could create Quickbase features out of thin air that would improve a Manufacturing-related workflow (super specific Magic Wand), how would you use it? What's the first feature you would wish into existence? Hello Manufacturing Qrew! Here's a quick recap of what we discussed at our December Manufacturing Qrew Meet Up: 1) Sarah Rhyne, Customer Advocacy Manager, Manufacturing, walked through the Corrective and Preventative Action App template that is available in the exchange. The new template is designed for foundational quality control, featuring basic functionality without complex pipelines. It integrates with non-conformance reports and allows users to customize workflows for problem definition, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Sarah recommends exploring the sample data provided with the template and provide feedback via the “Feedback” button in Quickbase to help make updates to the app. 2) Customer Collaboration Opportunity: Josh Cranfill, GM of Manufacturing, shared that Quickbase is looking for customer who would like to sign up for the “Customer Zero" opportunity to help Quickbase validate business requirements and refine the quality suite of applications we are rolling out. This is a very collaborative opportunity (no additional charge) to share your use case and compare it to industry requirements. If you are interested, please message me and or let your account team know and we can get you started. 3) Missed the meeting? No problem!
