I have a child table with a date/time out field. this is on a report where these show as child records in a report on a main service report. I have an automated field showing when the main record is closed, which is supposed to be based on the most recent time entry from the child records. At first glance it seems to work. However, when the time is midnight it's not behaving properly. So I have 2 child records with the following date/time out: 11/15/19 @ 2am 11/15/19 @ 12am (midnight) So it should show the midnight entry as the most recent, but it's showing the 2am entry as most recent. Which I get the logic behind, but I need it to not do that. If I change the midnight entry to 11:59am then it works as well, however, this looks very odd on our service reports. Does anyone know of a work around to make this function properly without having to put midnight as 11:59am when we are talking the end of the day? ------------------------------ Thanks! Because out part number fields are text due to being alphanumeric.Formula based on the number of records in a report link?So I have a report link on a record that references back to the same table. Is there a way to build a formula based on the number of records on this report? Since it's not a relationship I can't add a summary field. I would just like to check a checkbox if there is more than one record on that report. My goal here is to create a warning that the part number being used has been used on this table before. I don't want to stop the duplicate from being created, but just create some sort of warning that there are other records with that same part number.Re: Calculate Weekend Hours in a duration of Date/Time FieldYour first response appears to have solved my problem! I will monitor for a while to be sure, but it looks good as of now. Thank you!Calculate Weekend Hours in a duration of Date/Time FieldI will try to explain this the best that I can. I am trying to calculate the number of hours between two date/time fields excluding weekends. I have seen quite a bit of chatter, but no solution to the problem. I've come closest by using the following post as a guideline: https://community.quickbase.com/quickbase/topics/calculate-duration-excluding-weekends-dependent-fie... However, I'm running into some trouble. While I can get it to tell me the number of weekend days and subtract that, I need it to tell me weekend hours. The idea here is to gather data on how long it takes to go from submitted to approved. So if I have 72 hours to approve a form that should exclude weekends, because I don't work weekends. However, theform can be submitted at any time weekends included. So my submission date could be on a weekend. However, the approval date should only be on a weekday. So the duration between the submission and approval dates should exclude weekends. For example, I have a submission date/time = 5/12/18 9:06 AM approval date/time = 5/14/18 8:05 AM So a simple duration calculation between the two fields would return 46 hours and 59 minutes, the actual time of approval should be 8 hours and 5 minutes when only weekdays are included. I am using the following formula which would exclude an entire 48 hours in this instance, thus returning a value of -1 hour and 1 minute: var Duration HoursInclude = Max(Hours(0), [FSR Sent Date]-[Approval 1 and 2 Complete Time]); var Number HoursExclude = ToDays(ToDate([FSR Sent Date]) - ToDate([Approval 1 and 2 Complete Time])) - WeekdaySub(ToDate([FSR Sent Date]), ToDate([Approval 1 and 2 Complete Time])); $HoursInclude - Hours($HoursExclude * 24) Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get this to work the way I need it to?Create new Parent and Copy Child record from an Existing Child RecordI have two tables that are working together. Table 1 = Parts Requests (Parent) Table 2 = Parts (Child) The Parts Requests table is used in 2 ways. 1. When a customer calls and asks for a quote for parts and 2. When we request a quote for a part from a vendor. The functionality I am looking for is this. If I have a Part Request from a customer (Scenario 1) that has a/some parts on it, I would like each of those child records to have a button to generate a new request. The new request will be scenario 2 above where we are requesting a quote for that part from a Vendor. Ideally, this button would generate a new Part Request checked off as a Vendor Request, and then it would also create a child record that is identical to the one I clicked the button on. This way when the request for a quote from a vendor is created, they don't have to enter the part information again. Any thoughts on how I can set up this button would be greatly appreciated!Re: Line Chart LabelsThat does not create the desired effect that I am aiming for. Line chart is the correct type, I just need to figure out how to group the dates while showing all data points on the chart itself.Line Chart LabelsHello, I have some data that records multiple records per day. I created a line chart to showcase this data, as well as the upper and lower limits for the data set. The line chart that I have set up is exactly what I am looking for, however, the labels on the x-axis are not what I am looking for. If someone can help with a way to combine just the labels, but not the data that would be great. Now if I change the x-axis label to group by the day, it also groups the data. I want to see each data point on it's own as shown, but the axis should be cleaned up to only show one instance of each date. I have an excel version that is similar, but excel is not the best method as it keeps crashing due to too much data. Additionally, the QB version looks a lot nicer too. Any help would be appreciated. Re: Table bar Issues in New UII definitelyfeel like there are some complications with this release, but I would definitelynot say that it was unannounced. It was in the December release notes on the blog. I know that I put out an email notification to my entire company in December to be prepared for this change. There were photos and everything in the release notes. I would agree that customer suggestions should have been considered a little more though. Is it possible to have a webhook pull in the name of the field that was changed?I'm wondering if it's possible to have a webhook put the name of a specific field inside a text field on another table. I am creating an audit trail table, that will track the changes of a specific field. However, I have several fields that I want to track changes for. I have it working where it will put the old value and the new value in, and even the name of the table that the record was changed on. So I'm hoping that much like the table name, I can pull the name of the field as well. Thanks!
