Those are the only two fields I need them to input data into. My original thought was to do a separate table, connect the main record ID to the new table and then they could search for the record ID, the two fields would populate and they would enter their information. This seems ideal because I can limit what they can see/do. However, if I have these two fields in the confidential table, and the same two fields for data entry in this new table, how do I push the data they enter in the EOTI table, over to the main confidential table? If I do a Table to Table, I can get the Record ID from the Confidential table to populate in the EOTI table, but then if I link the two fields that need data input, they come in as read only. Would love to have anyone's input on how you've done something like this! ------------------------------ Trace Symonds Instructional Systems Designer Presbyterian Healthcare Services Albuquerque NM Trace Symonds Instructional Systems Designer Presbyterian Healthcare Services Albuquerque, NM 2021-2022 QuickBase Customer Council ------------------------------ Looking for examples: Tracking Learning Program AssetsHi Community, I work for a healthcare system in Talent Development/Training. I'm also the resident Quickbase person. In my job, I create, implement and manage training programs across our system. Much of what I do is in the form of electronic learning, graphics, etc. I do have a few in person training programs that I manage but those are getting few and far between. We are struggling with content management, versioning and tracking. So say I develop an eLearning course, I certainly can store my original files in a folder on our SharePoint site, or a SharePoint list, but I find that system not so easy to use. And customization, while possible, isn't the best. So I decided to ask the community for examples of how you track assets. Admittedly, I'm having a designer block in my brain and hope that by seeing or hearing about examples of how you use QuickBase to upload, track and iterate assets, it will give me the inspiration I need to make this a reality. I haven't started to look at how I perhaps can track versioning in Quickbase. I have a vague idea of what I need to do, but again, if you have something you can share with me, I would greatly appreciate the brain restart! If you are uncomfortable with sharing details here, message me and I'll give you my email address and we can discuss offline. I greatly appreciate all of you in the community! ------------------------------ Trace Symonds Senior Instructional Systems Designer Presbyterian Healthcare Services Albuquerque NM 2021-2022 QuickBase Customer Council ------------------------------ Re: Changing Record Picker to show only current yearI knew that once I posted my message, I would go back and figure it out. I had to create a report under the Projects table that only has Project Name and Project Year fields. I then had to filter records to only those with 2022 as the project year. Works great! ------------------------------ Trace Symonds Instructional Systems Designer Presbyterian Healthcare Services Albuquerque NM Trace Symonds Instructional Systems Designer Presbyterian Healthcare Services Albuquerque, NM 2021-2022 QuickBase Customer Council ------------------------------ Changing Record Picker to show only current yearHi all, Please accept my apologies as this is probably posted somewhere but I find that if you don't know how to explain it in QB speak, you can't find your solutions in the community site. This is one of those cases. I have an app where "Projects" is a table. I connect Projects to Notes, Intakes, Deliverables and other tables, Projects being the main record for everything. Let's say I'm adding a Note in the Notes table and because of the relationship with the Projects Table, I can select the project from the Project field's record picker. I have the picker showing the Project Name and the Project Year. To help my team with reducing confusion, I want to only show Projects in the record picker with a 2022 project year. Currently, it shows everything and we use the same project names each year, which is why the project year field is important. I thought that maybe I could do a custom rule but am lost at this point how to accomplish what I need to do. ------------------------------ Trace Symonds Instructional Systems Designer | Career Coach | Cyclist Presbyterian Healthcare Services Albuquerque NM Trace Symonds Instructional Systems Designer Presbyterian Healthcare Services Albuquerque, NM 2021-2022 QuickBase Customer Council ------------------------------ Setting up a Reminder to trigger a certain number of days if the date field remains blankHi all, I'm not seeing what I need in the reminder notification functionality so I'm hoping for some advice. Here's the 411: We have a service request form that is submitted by a member of our company to our Talent Development team when that member needs our assistance with a project. When we review these requests as a team, we assign them to one of our team members [Assigned Employee]. We are also asking our [Assigned Employee] to document the date that we respond to the requestor [Response Date]. But, as with new processes, our team members forget to document the date they responded, and so I want to trigger a reminder to them that when [Reponse Date] remains blank for X number of days, send a reminder email to [Assigned Employee]. Reminders do not allow me to choose the [Assigned Employee] field, even though in a Notification, I am able to choose the field. So I was looking into creating a notification but can't wrap my brain around how to qualify when the notification needs to be sent. Thank you in advance for your collective minds! ------------------------------ Trace Symonds Instructional Systems Designer Presbyterian Healthcare Services Albuquerque, NM 2021-2022 QuickBase Customer Council ------------------------------
