The code "javascript:$.post('https://myrealm.quickbase.com/qb/sync/refreshTasks?replicationID=xxxxx')" within a formula URL field works with Chrome; however, it fails to work in FIrefox. When clicked on in Firefox, I end up getting a page that simply says "[object Object]". What am I doing wrong? ------------------------------ Patrick Dunn ------------------------------ Slow form load for some users?Hello, A few of my users have reported very slow form loading, specifically in edit mode. When I try to recreate the issue by impersonating the affected persons, I'm unable to do so, i.e. the form loads as I would expect. Other than the potential for slow internet speeds on their end, any idea what may be causing the problem or how best to troubleshoot? Thanks, Patrick ------------------------------ Patrick Dunn ------------------------------ Auto-refresh connected table more frequently than 1 hourHello. Has anyone figured out how to automate the refresh of a connected table such that it can be refreshed more frequently than every hour? Note: I have managed to make the formula url referenced below work ok: https://community.quickbase.com/communities/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?MessageKey=ba4a6b93-bb6c-4dff-9e97-a70fc52b6283&CommunityKey=d860b0f8-6a48-487b-b346-44c47a19a804&tab=digestviewer ------------------------------ Patrick Dunn ------------------------------ Re: iol and intercept .onpasteThanks, Everett. That's a very intriguing post. Perhaps I can provide a bit more context about my issue. If you follow these steps in Firefox, you'll see what I mean. Save an image to your desktop. Open the image. Right-click copy the image Open a QB form that contains a rich text field Right-click in the rich text field. Choose the paste option. In the subsequent pop-up, cntrl-v (paste) the image. In Firefox, the image is pasted. Firefox base64 encodes the image in that pop-up. Note: I'm aware of the table space implications and have solved for them. In Chrome, nothing happens. Because my users demand to be able to paste the image directly into the field (i.e. as opposed to entering a reference to an image) and because most of my users use Chrome, I need a way to make Chrome behave like Firefox when it comes to paste. I figured if I could intercept the paste action within that pop-up window, I could have Chrome run the code I need. That being said, does what I'm saying seem feasible? ------------------------------ Patrick Dunn ------------------------------ Re: iol and intercept .onpasteHm. "interiorContainer" isn't what I need. When you right-click on a rich text field and choose "paste" a pop-up appears. I need the code to recognize a paste action within that window. Thoughts? Thanks! ------------------------------ Patrick Dunn ------------------------------ Re: iol and intercept .onpasteSeems like the below code works. Let me know if "interiorContainer" isn't what I ought to be using. Now I just need to work out the code to replace the Chrome paste behavior with the Firefox paste behavior. $("#interiorContainer").on("paste", function() { alert("You pasted into the field!");}); ------------------------------ Patrick Dunn ------------------------------ Re: iol and intercept .onpasteFor context, my ultimate goal is to force Chrome to paste into rich text fields the same way that Firefox pastes, i.e. base64 encoding any images in the clipboard. I have a form with a lot of rich text fields, and I would prefer to have the iol setup such that when a user pastes anywhere in the form, paste like Firefox. ------------------------------ Patrick Dunn ------------------------------ Re: iol and intercept .onpasteThanks, Everett!!! Would it be possible for the code to intercept paste on any field in the form (i.e. without explicitly identifying each field)? ------------------------------ Patrick Dunn ------------------------------ iol and intercept .onpasteHello. Would I be able to use the iol technique to to intercept .onpaste and use my own custom code? Thanks! ------------------------------ Patrick Dunn ------------------------------ Re: Pasting images into rich text fieldsYes. You are correct regarding the performance matter. My users insist on being able to copy/paste this way. Using the image reference route, there are too many extra steps for them. Consequently, I've had to devise a means of regularly archiving this content (migrating it from the field to an attachment associated with the record). ------------------------------ Patrick Dunn ------------------------------
