Thank you ------------------------------ Jennifer Peterson ------------------------------ Duration Fields with Pipelines I am trying to make a Pipeline that will create a set of Tasks (child records) to specific Reports (the parent record). Everything is working until it gets to the Duration field that I use to record default time for a simple task in the list (instead of requiring a logged time entry). If I use the Smart Time entry that I can use inside the duration field, it bombs and tells me it needs to be an integer. I put it in numerically, and it simply does not fill in the duration when the Task record is created after the Pipeline finishes its run. Any suggestions for fixing this? ------------------------------ Jennifer Peterson ------------------------------ SolvedRe: Formula Checkbox to Handle an Either Or CriteriaDidn't quite get me there, but helped me figure it out. I created a summary field of those tasks, and said that if the summary of the tasks equaled the summary of the completed tasks to return the true value. Example: If([# of Final Report Reviews/Revisions]=[# of Completed Final Report Reviews/Revisions], true, false) ------------------------------ Jennifer Peterson ------------------------------ Formula Checkbox to Handle an Either Or CriteriaI am trying to setup a workflow trigger to tell the users when a report package is ready for the next phase. We've added an optional task in that process for when there are revisions that need to be done between the reviews. So, I need to know when one or both tasks (if it exists) are completed before signaling that the next stage should begin. This is an example of the single task formula I am currently using in a Checkbox Field. If([# of Completed 1st Reviews]>0, true, false) How would I get the same thing to happen if it needed to also check for the 1st Revisions task? There is a field on the record that says the 1st Revisions task is needed. Parent Record is Reports, Child Record Tasks, and "# of ____" fields are summary fields on the Parent records. ------------------------------ Jennifer Peterson ------------------------------ Re: User Field from Child Record to ParentI keep getting an "Expecting text and found textlist" error when trying to convert it back to the User. ------------------------------ Jennifer Peterson ------------------------------ User Field from Child Record to ParentI am used to using a cycle of relationship fields to get milestone dates from the Child Record "Tasks" to the Parent Record "Reports." I use a Date Summary on the Tasks table, and a Lookup Field on the Reports table to get the date of a specific Task milestone to show up on the Reports table. I'm not having any luck using this same process to get the User who completed the specific Task to show up on the Reports record. Any suggestions? ------------------------------ Jennifer Peterson ------------------------------ Deadline Formulas (Checkbox)I am trying to write a formula for a checkbox field that will return a check mark when a report was issued before the contract deadline: If([Report Posted], true and Today()>[MSO-Client Due Date], true, false) And another one if the report was issued after the contract deadline: If([Report Posted], true and Today()<[MSO-Client Due Date], true, false) It's not returning the correct results, so there must be something wrong with the way I have them written. Can anyone help me out? ------------------------------ Jennifer Peterson ------------------------------ Re: Multiple Criteria for 1 Line in a Case StatementAwesome, I wasn't sure I could stack them like that. Thank you ------------------------------ Jennifer Peterson ------------------------------ Multiple Criteria for 1 Line in a Case StatementI have a series of Case statements that are used to calculate a due date, based on a large number of contract terms (ex. 6 mos end of FW / 24 mos 1st pymt, 6 mos end of FW / 30 mos from 1st pymt). There are two large case statement formulas to calculate the two side of the terms, and then another formula that returns the earlier of the two dates. My problem is that sometimes those terms are based on another value that will return what we refer to as a Null Date (ex. 01-01-0001), so I want to be able to put a qualifier to the individual lines in the case statement. For that term, the logic would be that if the "other term" equals Null Date, then return "1st calculation," otherwise use "2nd calculation." This is an abbreviated version of the Case Statement: Case ([Report Delivery Window - MAI] , "8 weeks from end of FW / no later than 12 weeks from end of FW" , [Fieldwork End Date (AUD)] + Weeks(12) , "90 days from location exit / 90 days from end of FW" , [Fieldwork End Date (AUD)] + Days(90) , "90 days from end of FW / 6 mos from start of FW" , AdjustMonth([Fieldwork Begin Date (AUD)] , 6) , "90 days from the end of FW / 6 mos from end of FW" , [Fieldwork End Date (AUD)] + Days(180) , "90 days from end of FW / 30 days before MSO Deadline" , [MSO Report Deadline] - Days(30) , "4 mo from end of FW/no later than 1 year from start" , AdjustMonth([Fieldwork Begin Date (AUD)] , 12) , "6 mo from beginning/no later than 6 mo end" , AdjustMonth([Fieldwork End Date (AUD)] , 6) , "6 mo from beginning/no later than 3 mo end" , AdjustMonth([Fieldwork End Date (AUD)] , 3) ) The term in question is "90 days from end of FW / 30 days before MSO Deadline." I'm not sure how to write the extra formula within the formula. ------------------------------ Jennifer Peterson ------------------------------
