The goal is for Quickbase to GET data from the Sharepoint List. I can achieve this fine with a Pipeline I built that gets data from a csv within Sharepoint but I can't quite figure out how to get at into QB from SharePoint. I can't find any resources that point to a config like SP to QB. My current config looks like this A) Trigger: Webhook and Incoming Request B) Sharepoint channel function: Search Lists. (Account, URL, ID= the list id) c) FOR EACH MS Sharepoint List LOOP: Quickbase Channel: Prepare Bulk Upsert D) QB: Add a bulk Upsert row (note in this step I am presented with the QB field but nothing avaible to map them to) E) Commit Upsert Please advise. Thank You ------------------------------ Michael Mahon ------------------------------ Auto import or single button import of csv from static locationI'm setting up an application for a team with several restrictions. Looking for a method or examples to achieve the following Import records/rows from a csv file into an existing table WITHOUT using pipelines or 3rd party tools. The csv file sits on a network share internal to the company Would it be possible to create a button that automates the steps used when performing a manual import? Working API examples would be helpful. The QB help site examples are not very intuitive. Thank You ------------------------------ Michael Mahon ------------------------------ Re: Create a button with a default file name/pathThat's going to be my last resort. The less navigation I can have I can have the user do is the ultimate goal. Is it possible using that formula to have the fields pre filled and read only when they land on the import screen? That at least keeps them from choosing other than the intended file? ------------------------------ Michael Mahon ------------------------------ Create a button with a default file name/pathOur company has Pipelines locked down to be insanely restrictive so I'm having to be a little creative here. RIght now I am building an app for a non-technical audience where they need the ability to import daily work tasks into QB from an external file which is stored on an internal network share. I am looking for a way to achieve the following options A) View a sample or demo of an API button that will import data from a file (csv or xlsx) into a table. I'd like to actually see it in action rather than a script. I have not been able to locate any resources that actually show this function Or B) Create a button that will allow the intended user to attach a file as a record then get the data from that attached file into a table. (Not sure if that's even possible. ) The button would have to be a hardcoded url/file name that never changes. Happy to provide additional details if needed. We get to do this stupid simple brute force. I assume that these records will be children if the parent Calendar Record. Look up the value of the [Last date of the range] down to the children. Make 14 new formula date fields (IN THE PARENT? ) to calculate (WOULD THIS BE A DURATION FORMULA?? see below) the 14 dates dates from 0 days to 13 days ahead. Todays([Field 13]-[Field 0]) Todays([Field 13]-[Field 1]) Todays([Field 13]-[Field 2]) Todays([Field 13]-[Field 3]) Then make an automation to fire when a calendar record is added, changed or deleted and either the start or end date range changed. Step 1. Delete all children of the parent calendar Record Step 2 through 16 is to create the 14 children. Step 17 is to delete all children which are older than the [Last date of the range] The reason for the first step to delete all its children is to handle if the date range is changed. ------------------------------ Michael Mahon ------------------------------ Default Stat time value to users last entries Stop timeGood Morning We have a group of users who log production data throughout the day and need to track their Start/Stop times consecutively. How can I have the default value of the Start field populated with the users last entry of the Stop field? The End Result would look something like this Start: 3:00 PM End: 4:00 PM Start: 4:00 PM End: 5:00 PM Start: 5:00 PM End: 6:00 PM Start: 6:00 PM End: 7:00 PM Also would this logic be automatically applied if working in grid edit? ------------------------------ Michael Mahon ------------------------------ Re: Parse selected calendar days into individual recordsNot more than 10 business days or 14 calendar days ------------------------------ Michael Mahon ------------------------------ Parse selected calendar days into individual recordsHow do I parse a block of calendar days selected in a calendar report into individual records. Example: If a user selects 14 days in a calendar a new record is created for each of those days totaling 14 days? ------------------------------ Michael MM ------------------------------ Copy value from previous record Good Evening, Using a Grid Edit embedded report that allows users to enter data. How do I achieve the following scenario where the default value the Start Time in the new record gets its value from the Stop Time of the previous record. I am a manager Goal: I need the ability to lookup an employee and view there performance/productivity on 1 dashboard. When I pull up an employee all of their performance metrics spanning multiple tables should be viewable on 1 dashboard. I have come across some examples that almost do this but most only have the ability to view the employees as a group on a dashboard. The end result should allow me to either sit with the employee and review during a 1x1 and/or email to them for reference. Current table configuration Tables Users - Contains a list of employees Production Entries Quality Occurrence I appreciate any guidance you can provide.
