So to make sure I understand... any Administrator in an App will be able to see PipeLines? ------------------------------ John Ross ------------------------------ Any word on moving Pipelines back into each app for multiple dev visability?Haven't really touched pipelines yet for our other apps and projects since all developers cannot see them. Still do not understand this design choice... Any word from QB on fixing this to work like Automation so our development teams can work together? ------------------------------ John Ross ------------------------------ Re: Why do pipelines have a 12 digit limit for numerical fields?Hey Mark, thanks for the reply. We run into this problem with excel, (12 digits and then 15 as the hard cut). But it sounds like if we have them set to text we should be okay. Currently that is what we do I believe. You know I kind of figured with newer hardware, 64 bit systems, etc., that the digit limits could be way higher now days. haha. ------------------------------ John Ross ------------------------------ Why do pipelines have a 12 digit limit for numerical fields? As the title says. For companies like us who deal with ICCID's, Serials, MAC's, etc., the 12 digit limit just does not work. Though I am curious to find out if this will effect something like an ICCID if we have it in a text field vs. a numerical field? ------------------------------ John Ross ------------------------------ Shining light on the copyParentChild-Select functionCan anyone shine any light on the copyParentChild-Select function? We have a URL button in a legacy application that I am trying to re-create in a new application. For the life of me I cannot get it to work in the new application even those the structure and usage is the same. (The old one works fine, and has for many many years.) Specifically, the main part of the code looks like this: (Note that I edited the table codes to table 1, 2, etc, for ease of readability) "javascript:void(window.open('" & URLRoot() &"db/" & Dbid() & "?a=dbpage&dbid=" & [_DBID_STAGING_TYPE] & "&pagename=copyParentChild-Select.html&onlyDBIDs=Table1.Table2.Table3&rid=" & URLEncode([Project Staging Type - Record ID#]) &"&dest=refresh&destrid=null&Table1-43=" & URLEncode([Staging ID]) & "&Table2-32=" & URLEncode([Staging ID]) & "&Table3-32=" & URLEncode([Staging ID]) & "&Table1-45=" & URLEncode(Today()) & "&Table1-44=" & URLEncode([Related Job]) & "&Table2-35=" & URLEncode(Today()) & "&Table2-33=" & URLEncode([Related Job]) & "&Table3-34=" & URLEncode(Today()) & "&Table3-32=" & URLEncode([Staging ID]) & "','copyRecursive','top=240,left=320,width=400,height=150,location=no,menubar=no,toolbar=no'))" Thanks guys and gals ------------------------------ John Ross ------------------------------Re: jGrowl configuration OptionsBlake, thanks so much for this. We didn't even know this was possible until recently and this just makes it even better! ------------------------------ John Ross ------------------------------ Re: jGrowl configuration OptionsWow I was just about to ask the same thing! I would like to know if we can add an image to use instead as well as if we can change the colors. ------------------------------ John Ross ------------------------------ Re: URL Button to Save the current Record, and then close the WindowBlake, thanks for your reply! Our original plan was to go to a different form in the same window, and then go back, but we thought it might be less confusing to the users if it was a popup instead. We are trying to design the system to be as easy to understand as possible to cut down on training and mistakes. ------------------------------ John Ross ------------------------------ URL Button to Save the current Record, and then close the WindowHey guys, just a small question this time. I have a nice URL Button setup to display a small popup window via that "javascript:void (window.open" command that requires a user to enter some data. I'd like to have another URL button that saves said record and then closes said popup window. Reason being is I only want them to be able to save if they enter the correct data (button will be hidden until they do), but also I'd like for the window to be closed automatically with the button to keep it from being tedious. Is this possible? ------------------------------ John Ross ------------------------------ Re: Create Records in Multiple Tables and use their Record ID's in one URL Button?Ah I see, well we've slowly started looking into that as our needs have become more advanced. Looks like we will use an automation for now, but will continue to gain more knowledge and move towards learning javascript. Thanks Mark! ------------------------------ John Ross ------------------------------
