Exciting Updates and Call for Speakers: Quickbase Customer Network Program 2024 We hope this post finds you well and thriving in the new year! If you've been part of the Quickbase journey, you might be familiar with our Customer Network program—an incredible virtual user group initiative run by the CS @ Scale team. As we step into 2024, we're thrilled to share some exciting updates and extend an invitation to our vibrant community to participate in shaping the future of the Quickbase Customer Network. Reflecting on 2023: In the past year, we hosted a total of 59 meetings, bringing together an average of ~30 customers each time. What's even more inspiring is that 25 customers took the stage to share their Quickbase use cases, showcasing the positive impact our platform has had on their businesses. What's New in 2024: Consistency is Key: We've learned that a regular meeting schedule is crucial for fostering meaningful connections. Most of our groups will now be meeting every month, providing a consistent cadence for our community to come together. Product-Focused Groups: Responding to your feedback, we're excited to introduce two new product-oriented groups—a role-based community for App Builders and a functionality-oriented group centered around Mobile workflow. We're confident these groups will cater to specific interests and needs within our diverse community. Transitioning some Industry Groups: In an effort to evolve, the Customer Success team will no longer host Public Sector and Retail & Real Estate meetings. However, fear not! Ben Simon is spearheading the conversion of these groups into new community-led Qrew groups, ensuring these industries continue to have a space to connect and collaborate. Call for Speakers - We Need Your Stories: To make the 2024 Customer Network program a success, we're turning to you, our incredible Quickbase users, for support. Speakers: Do you know of a fellow Quickbase user who has built something remarkable? An app that's solving business challenges exceptionally well? We want to hear from them! Are you or your team experts in a specific product area or industry? We invite you to share your knowledge and experiences with the wider Quickbase community. This is an excellent opportunity for professional development and making an impact on a larger scale. As a thank-you, our customer speakers will receive 1,000 points in the Qrew Champion Program, a shiny speaker badge, and the opportunity to make new connections within the Qrew. How to Get Involved: If you have a speaker in mind or are interested in participating, please reach out to us. Your stories and insights are the heartbeat of our community! And don't forget, all meeting registrations can be found on our Quickbase Events Page. Thank you for being the driving force behind the Quickbase Customer Network program. We look forward to making 2024 a year of collaboration, learning, and shared success! October Pipelines Meeting Agenda Announcement Hi Pipelines Peeps! It's attached to this response! ------------------------------ Caroline Stuart-Freas ------------------------------ September Meeting Notes Hi Pipelines Peeps! Thanks for joining us at the September meeting this past Tuesday, 9/26. It was a great call with the focus being on the intersection of AI tools (like Chat GPT) and Quickbase. Pipelines Product Updates w/ Edi Evstatiev First up Edi Evstatiev provided an overview of the new Pipelines Designer for those on the call that weren't familiar with it. He also asked for feedback from people on why they were not using it and their experiences with using it. Edi shared that there are plans to address the top feedback the product have received: The slower performance & not being able to add Jinja expressions to date fields. The latter issue should be address this week. Another improvement coming soon is new indexes & increasing the number of steps. If you would like to be included in the Private Beta for this please reach out to Edi directly. What's Available in the new Pipelines Designer & Updates The ability to move one or multiple steps by dragging and dropping Customizable step names The ability to add a step note A new action bar on the top right New activity tab that shows when there are errors, when a pipeline has triggered and other activities Right now you can toggle between the legacy builder and the new designer If you build a Pipeline in the new Designer you can then toggle to the legacy builder and view and edit the Pipeline there but you won't be able to see the customer step names or step notes In October the new Pipelines Designer will be the builder by default Leveraging ChatGPT for Jinja Expressions w/ We McAda Wes McAda, Quickbase Developer @ Louis Berger lead a discussion & share his tips on leveraging ChatGPT to help with Jinja expressions It is a helpful tool to use because there is not a lot of documentation out there about Jinja It's all about the quality of the inputs (or prompts), responses can vary Pro-tip: include "In Quickbase Pipelines" at the begining Pipeline Built w/ OpenAI & General Discussion around AI capabilities coming to Quickbase w/ Alex Pederson Alex Pederson, Sr Manager Solutions Consulting @ Quickbase shared a Pipeline he created integrating a Quickbase App with OpenAI where he wanted to see if he could get a "sentiment analysis" to help determine sentiment (positive, negative, neutral) asking OpenAI to evaluate. This Pipeline demostrated what is possible to build between Quickbase and an AI tool to help with in-app analysis and assistance. On the call people asked for the YAML of this Pipeline and I have attached the YAML and additional information he sent me to this post and it can also be found in the document library of this community . He also demonstrated a new builder experience that will be released soon called the "AI Smart Builder" that leverages AI for building new apps and can help cut down the amount of time required for building new apps. ------------------------------ Caroline Stuart-Freas ------------------------------ Re: August meeting notes & follow-up Hi Dwight thanks for your comments & questions! Here are my answers: For the beta, is there a way to switch between the current view and the beta view? This was asked in one of our meetings and Edi said that yes it was possible to do this! I will ask him to post more information here for you. Also, do you have a list of presenters? I know you were looking for some and filled September? I could present some things that me and Ryan came up with for the App Library maybe. It utilizes the Make a Request step and the RestAPI. Thanks for offering and I would love to take you up on it! I've added you to my list of volunteers! ------------------------------ Caroline Stuart-Freas ------------------------------ August meeting notes & follow-up Thanks so much for joining us for the August Pipelines Customer Network Meeting!
