Solved

I have two tables: Jobs < Assignments.Within the Assignments table, I have 4 different reports setup, they all have slightly different columns selected: Assignments (default) Assignments - Jobs Form - Add Assignments - Jobs Form - Edit Assignments - Jobs Form - View In the Jobs table I have 3 different fields, all setup as Report Links, where the Source Field is "Jobs:Job ID#" (this is the Unique Record #) and the Target Field is "Assignments:Related Job". Assignments Add Assignments Edit Assignments View In the Jobs form, I customized the form so that the three fields display the related assignments directly on the job form (i.e. embedded), and I based each one off of the corresponding Assignments report, e.g. the Jobs field "Assignments Add" points to the "Assignments - Jobs Form - Add" report from the Assignments table.I also changed the "Display when this form is used for" to the corresponding purpose: View for view, Add for add, and Edit for Edit.I check the "Editable" box

I'm not real experienced with html and rich text but I have been using this formula for showing text with different formatting:"<span style='font-size:12px;color:#e61515'><i>words go here</span>"How do I modify so that instead of words, I can reference one of my text fields? Obviously, If I just put [text field] it literally shows that on the page.------------------------------Mike Tamoush------------------------------

I need to import 150,000 records into a table. The records contain simple text, date, and numeric fields with a total of 14 fields. I get an error message when I try to import the records: I refreshed the page as the error suggests, but that does not resolve the issue. I also split the records in half and tried to import 75,000, but still got the same error message. Is there a limitation on the number of records that can be imported?#record #limitation #import  ------------------------------Adam Keever------------------------------

For another use case I made a button that would go to a report where is was set to ask the user. The button contained the following and it works great.a=q&qid=11&nv=1&v0="&[Related Customer]I now have a use case where I can't use the ask user but need to use the dynamic filter.  I have tried using the following"db/bpnnzrjnw?a=q&qid=8#dynamic/{%22sidebar%22:[{%22facetid%22:12,%22data%22:{%22value%22:%22"&URLEncode([Project Name])&"%22}}],%22searchString%22:%22%22,%22ver%22:1}" I added in a URLEncode of the dynamic filtered field. The part after the field brackets in the formula is highlighted green until the next bracket end. It is like Quick Base wants to only recognize the second closing bracket as the closing bracket. Any ideas on what I can change to make this work? yes I realize I could make additional reports specifically for this button like the other button but there are other use cases I have if I can do this.------------------------------J

Hi All,I have 2 tables: Employee Table and Vendor Table. Employee table consists of Employee Name field and Vendor Table consists of Vendor Name field. There is Payment table consists of  Pay to field. The idea is: Pay to field is text multiple-choice field, containing list of Employee Name field and Vendor Name field. I also can create new choice with this field, if "Pay to" person or vendor not listed there, but I don't want to add this newly created choice to employee name field or vendor name field. Is there any solution to achieve this rather than manually input again employee name list and vendor name list as multiple-choice list of Pay to field? Many thanks------------------------------Syaeful Bahri------------------------------

Hi,Can someone please help me with the following formula. I have comments under each line as to what it should be doing, but it is not doing that. It is just displaying zero. If([Spent By]=ToUser("John Doe") and [Shared Purchase?]=true, [Amount]/2, //If user is John Doe and Checkbox is checked, display the amount divided by two, otherwise execute next if statement. If([Spent By]!=ToUser("John Doe") and [Shared Purchase?]=true, [Amount]/2, //If user is not John Doe and Checkbox is checked, display the amount divided by two, otherwise execute next if statement. If([Spent By]=ToUser("John Doe") and [Shared Purchase?]=false, [Amount], 0))) //If user is John Doe and Checkbox is NOT checked, display the amount, otherwise display 0.I also tried adding a couple extra sets of parentheses to break it up more, but that didn't work either.------------------------------Curtis Middleton------------------------------

I'd like to show values from a field in a child table that is related to its parent table (Product Selections) as a multi select text field (formula). Here is the database topology: Products (contains product types) Product Selections (assignment of a product to a client record) Product Allocations (more specific product selection attributes related to Product Selections table records) Example record: Client: Acme Anvils Product Selection: Advertising Product Allocation: Google Search Network Product Allocation: Bing Search Network Product Allocation: Waze Advertising I'd ultimately like to display the list of Product Allocations in a Product Selection report, but as a single multi-select text field. Is this possible? Thank you!!!------------------------------Matt------------------------------

Hi everyone! I've just started playing with a connected Quickbooks table. I'm trying to find a way to have the records in the Books table automatically select a parent record in my Jobs table. Each Books record has a Job Number field that should associate it with the proper Job record (each Job record has a unique Job Number), but I can't figure out how to create an automation that tells the Books record to "select the job with the matching 'Job Number' as the related Job for this record". I've tried to have it automatically write the Job Number to the Related Job field, but it just inputs some numbers and doesn't select the correct job. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!- Elena------------------------------Elena Larrabee------------------------------

Hey all, I wanted to know if anybody knows how to add an if statement to a URL formula with javascript? Currently my formula looks like this: var text url=URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=API_EditRecord&_fid_30=Sent&_fid_29=Sent&apptoken=XXXXX&rid=" & [Record ID#];var text ifStatement=If([Submitted for Payroll Log] != "Sent" and [Commission for Homeowner] != 0, $url, " "); "javascript:" &"$.get('" & $url &"',function(){" &"location.reload(true);" &"});" & "void(0);"Everything is working great except for the button is showing up still when the parameters: [Submitted for Payroll Log] != "Sent" and [Commission for Homeowner] != 0 are met when it shouldn't be.------------------------------Amanda------------------------------
