Hello, I have two tables [Client & Files] connected and I'm wondering if there's a way to check the Files table if certain "File Type" has been uploaded for that specific Client. For example, the Client record has a status field that can only be set to "Complete" if a "Profile Picture" has been uploaded. Thanks in advance!------------------------------frnmj------------------------------

I was hoping to create a field that's auto-generated with this format [YY]+0000 <- where this increments by one every time a new invoice is added. Can someone help me with the formula?------------------------------frnmj------------------------------

I have 2 tables (Invoice and Payments table) which has a one-to-many relationship. The Invoice table has an Invoice Amount field, and the Payments table has an Amount Paid field. Basically, I want the Amount Paid to be deducted from the Invoice Amount automatically once the Payment record is added.------------------------------frnmj------------------------------

I am working with 3 tables: Parent Table: Work Orders--> Intermediary (Child) Table: Subcontractor Quotes--> Child Table: Status History. I have an embedded report on my Work Order form which displays the Subcontractor Quotes. I have a Formula-URL button displayed on the report called [Subcontractor Dispatched]. When the button is clicked, I need two things to happen: I need to create a record in the Status History Table. I've successfully accomplished this with the following formula: var bool show = If(Contains([Quote Status], "Approved by PM"),true, false); If($show=true, URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_STATUS_HISTORY] & "?a=API_AddRecord&_fid_16=" & URLEncode ([Record ID#])& "&_fid_10=Subcontractor Dispatched" & "&_fid_11=Subcontractor Quote Status" & "&_fid_9=" & URLEncode(User()) & "&apptoken=xxxxxxxxxxxxx" & "&rdr=" &URLEncode ( URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() &"?a=doredirect&z=" & Rurl()),"")

I have what I think is a fairly simple question, but would like an opinion as to what the best approach is to take to accomplish something.  I have two apps where I would like to copy table data from one app to another.  I would like to copy a "zip codes" table from App B into App A and have a Pipeline keep these tables synced.  Keep in mind, this zip code table is not changed very often, maybe a few times a week.  About 90 users use App A throughout the day but there is a downtime from 8 PM to about 4 AM each night/morning where few, if any, users are in the system.  The zip codes table contains 33,000+ records. Should I have the Pipeline copy data as things change, or trigger on change, or should I run a nightly update where this happens automatically in order to prevent any slowdown in App A as things sync?  What's the most efficient approach?------------------------------AR------------------------------

Hi all:Probably a simple question, but I have a notification for a table that I have put %recLink% in the notification.  Works fine but it links to the DEFAULT form for that table. I want it to use a different form that I have developed for the table as the notification is set for a specific change that is made with the "NON-DEFAULT" form.   How do I modify %recLink% or what would be the html that I would need to write out in my notification to have it pick the correct form to display the record?Thanks!Melissa------------------------------Melissa Freel------------------------------

I'm a little puzzled with Pipelines' On New Event trigger.  I see that there is a trigger option for On Add Record, On Modify Record and On Delete Record.  They can all be set to trigger on the same On New Event step.  What I don't get here is how do I follow up on each event in the step that follows this initial trigger?  What I mean is, how do I differentiate whether I'm going to Create Record next, if the initial trigger is On Add Record.  Or how do I write a step to follow thereafter to Delete Record if the trigger is On Delete Record?  Lastly, how would I write an Update Record step if the initial trigger is On Modify Record?I don't see that there's a step by step way to identify what happened in the first trigger and tell the Pipeline to follow up and either Create, Update or Delete Record.  It doesn't make sense to me why this option is grouped into the trigger for all three triggers when it seems like you can only use one trigger for the

My thumbnail pictures created with this:If(Length([Attachment File])=0,"","<img width=\"30\" src=\""&URLRoot()&"up/"&Dbid()&"/a/r"&[Attachment ID#]&"/e7/v0\"/>")refresh unbearably slowly. When I create a new record or create the first [Attachment File] in the record, there is no problem. Contrary to that if i edit a record already having an Attached file and i change the file to another, it takes more than minutes for the thumbnail image to refresh.Especially on a mobile device i need the thumbnails for the user to review the pictures taken in a report, so if an attachment file is changed, the report shall follow. But it - practically - doesn't.In my tests so far there are not more than 6 or 8 recoerd with thumbnails in a report, so i am not querying hundreds of them...Can I do anything to make the thumbnail refresh faster after edits? Am I creating the thumbnail picture the good way? Interested in any workaround if all else fails!Thank You!---------------

Hello, I have a multi-select list that has 5 items on it.  All 5 items need to be checked off for quality purposes.  I created a separate formula field to check this condition, but I can't figure out the logic to get the correct result. My multi-select field is called "[The SOW was reviewed and SOW has the following items:]".Here is the Boolean code that I put into the separate formula field.  Regardless of what is checked off, the result is always the false choice, "SOW is not complete":If(ToText([The SOW was reviewed and SOW has the following items:]) = ToText("Anticipated LOE by Contract Labor Cat (Qty & Hrs) by JID") andToText([The SOW was reviewed and SOW has the following items:]) = ToText("Place of Performance") andToText([The SOW was reviewed and SOW has the following items:]) = ToText("PoP and Planning Start Date (if before the POP start date)") andToText([The SOW was reviewed and SOW has the following items:]) = ToText("Detailed Work Scope") andToText([

Hello,I have two rules setup that say if checkbox1 is checked then uncheck checkbox2 and the other rule is if checkbox2 is checked then uncheck checkbox1. The first rule works but the second one does not. I am trying to make it so users cannot check both boxes, it's either one or the other but they can also have both unchecked if they want too.------------------------------

We have a lot of restrooms in our parks. I have created a simple system that allows anyone (everyone on the internet) to scan a QR in whichever restroom they are in, and it automatically takes them to a record creation page for that specific restroom, allowing them to report problems like water leaks etc. that we may not have noticed yet.I have two tables. "Restroom list", a master list with a record for each restroom, and "reported restroom issues", which is a repository for all submitted restroom issues (by whoever scans the QR in any restroom and fills out the form, which creates a record in this table). The table, "restroom list" is connected to the table, "reported restroom issues" via a one-to-many relationship. One of the fields in the "reported restroom issues" table is "Park".When a record is added to the "reported restroom issues" table, I would like to have an email automatically sent to the manager of the park in which the restroom issue record was reported. The only f

I have an App where we are importing standardized data from another source regularly and I have 3 parent tables where the key field is a text field that matches fields in the child table. I am trying to streamline where the User just has import a spreadsheet once and it will look to see if the values in the 3 fields match the key fields are in the Parent table and if not create a Parent Record and since they Key field is that text field they will link if there is a matching Parent Record. The imports will always have values so it will never have an issue where there isn't a value specified for either 3 of those fields. I created a Pipeline in the child table triggered whenever records are added, I added a query to step A where in my child table I added lookup fields for the actual Record ID numbers for all 3 fields from the parent tables and set the query to be triggered when records are added and the Record ID is not set, because the actual key field is that text field that already ha

Hi All,I'm creating a dashboard and I've brought in some gauge reports that look great.I created a couple more gauge reports in the same table, but when I try to bring them on to the dashboard, I can't see them in the list for the table. I've searched with no luck. Confirmed that I had created them in my stores table, but they just aren't there in the selection list.Any thoughts on why this might be happening? Thanks in advance,Kim------------------------------Kim------------------------------

Hello,I've created a button that, when clicked, updates a date. I've used this button many times in a form, but I want to use it in a report and stay in the report once the date is updated. Here's my formula for redirecting back to the form:URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=API_EditRecord" &"&rid=" & [Record ID#] &"&apptoken=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" &"&_fid_33=Now" &"&rdr=" & URLEncode(URLRoot()&"db/" & Dbid() & "?a=dr&dfid=12&rid="&[Record ID#])The above redirects me to the actual record. I would like to redirect back to the report (a=q&qid=19) but not quite sure how to do that. Any help with this would be appreciated.Thank you,Kim------------------------------Kim------------------------------

I'm trying to create a rich text button which will open a report where certain dates are null.  I've verified by running the report manually that the report does find results however when I use the rich text button I get no results.  I've tested in both the button and in the developer.quickbase.com site and have confirmed no results in both places - thus I'm positive it's something to do with my query structure. The query I've passed is:"{94.EX.8}and({24.XEX.''}or{25.XEX.''}or{70.XEX.''}or{71.XEX.''})"Fields 24, 25, 70 and 71 are all Date fields and 94 is the related record.  What I'm trying to achieve is "Show me all results where any of the 4 date fields are not null". Hi,My team have used Zapier to hook up WooCommerce from Wordpress to QuickBase, and also made a few automation in QuickBase, but today we received an email notification of 429 Error: Webhooks are exceeding the rate threshold.Wonder if that can be fixed or why did it happen?First time seeing it since we started using QB in 2018.Davy------------------------------Davy Ou------------------------------

I have a many-to-many relationship of employees to campaigns.  Each employee can serve one of three roles within a campaign.  In my scenario I will only ever have one employee serving each role.  Table design shown below: Within the Campaigns table, I would like to be able to see the Employee name in each of the three distinct fields.  So Campaigns should have three fields called Assistant, Strategist, and Setter.  The query seems fairly easily - basically something like "Select Employee Name from Assignments where Campaign = [Record ID#] and Role = 'Strategist'".  Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to make this happen...  Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?  Should I just abandon the many-to-many relationship and create three independent relationships?TIA------------------------------Jeremy LahnersLeadBaller------------------------------

I have a related table.  I want to modify the "add record" to only view the child record.  Basically I want to recreate the "View Record" eyeball icon that is found in the report table.  (I don't want my users to have to find this tiny little eyeball.  I need a big glowing button for them to click on.)I was able to write the formula that references the correct table, but I can't pull the correct Record ID because it is pulling the Record ID of the parent table.  I need the Record ID of the child table.  Is there a way to reference the Record ID from the related child table or just reference a Record ID from a different table?URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_TEST] & "?a=dr&rid=" & [Record ID#]------------------------------David Semitekol------------------------------

I have this formula but I'm getting errors.  I'm not sure if it's just a syntax issue or something else.If (IsNull ([Date Closed]),WeekdaySub(Today()-[NWS Date Received]-[Total pending First Open],[Date Closed]-[NWS Date Received]-[Total pending First Open]))I have this in a Numeric Formula field.  Both the Date Closed and NWS Date Received are date fields but the Total Pending First Open is a Formula Duration Field. As the formula is, I'm getting the error "Expecting Date but found duration"  on this section "WeekdaySub(Today()-[NWS Date Received]-[Total pending First Open]"I appreciate any assistance.------------------------------Carol Mcconnell------------------------------

Hello,I am trying to schedule a weekly calculation every Friday using Pipelines. The calculation process is as follows: Select the 20 most recent records from a QuickBase App table, sorted by a date lookup field (I also can't get this to work, but I will make another post about this issue). Define a Pipeline Rows table using the Bucket channel. For each of the 20 QB App table rows, store them all in the Pipeline Rows table. Search the 20 Pipeline Rows table to return a filtered list of Pipeline Rows whose fields match certain conditions. Search the QB App table again for all records created over the past week. For each of those QB App table records created over the week, update a field with: (# of Pipeline Rows matching the conditions / 20). I was able to successfully return a filtered list of Pipeline Rows that match the conditions. But when I try to perform step #6 and update the records with {{length(d.record_id) / 20}}, I get this error: Validation error: Incorrect template "{{le

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a way to display multiple thumbnail images in one field on a parent record. So one parent record may have two or three child record image files, and I want to be able to show them as a small gallery of images on their parent record. This is for a table view of those parent records to it's important to me to be able to get them all into one field. Thank you for any help! I know how to show a single image file as a thumbnail on its own but I'm having a tougher time figuring this one out.------------------------------Elena Larrabee------------------------------

Good Evening,I am new to quickbase and am trying to figure out a way to set up a filter where a user selects a date and then a report will filter for their current billing period. We bill bi-monthly 1-15th and 16th-30th or 31st. I was hoping a user could enter a billing record and chose 08/05/2021 and once they save and close the record their dashboard will have a "Current Billing Period" report so they only see the entries for the Current Billing Period whatever date it falls in, and once we get to August 16th the report will refresh with just those entries.  Is there a good way to do that?  Or a calculated date field that would some how make a string like 08-01-2021 - 08-15-2021, based on the date would be great too. Thank you, Ryan------------------------------Ryan Locke------------------------------

I've been going through several posts here all morning, trying to find how I would extract text that's between 2 characters, and I can't seem to figure out. I have the following field text:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-x"?> <string xmlns="http://www.tempuri.org/">1234</string>I need to extract the number that's between 2nd ">", and 3rd "<" (in the example, that number is 1234, and it always changes, and after 9999, it will turn into 5 character number.)The closest I could come up, was:Part([URL],3,">")But the result comes out to:1234</stringAnd I don't need "<" and anything that is after.------------------------------Gene Gene------------------------------

Hello! Is there a quick way to update the report filters to reflect the changes made to the drop down options in a text-multiple choice field?Example - If Status is Changed from 1-New Case to 2-New Case, can the reports that use the filter of Status=1-New case be automatically changed to reflect Status=2-New Case? Thanks in advance.Ketki------------------------------Ketki Ganpule------------------------------
