Hello, I am trying to figure this outHow to calculate a duration for each year based on a varying start date? The start date can be at any month of the year (just calculating months, not days) and the project will last over the next 5 years. Example: IF the Start date is September 2024, there's 4 full months for the first year. And if they're needed for ([Months Needed] is for 12 or 18 or 60 months, then how would I find the duration of the next year, and the next?Would each year need it's own duration field? Like Year 1 duration, Year 2 duration, etc?I'll have these fields[YEAR 1], [YEAR 2], [YEAR 3], [YEAR 4], [YEAR 5]. [Start Date][Months Needed]

Hello Everyone,  I'm trying to create a single button that will allow our users to add an effective end date to a record on form ID 11 and then when that is saved redirect to the add record api using form ID 10 populated with data from the previous record.  Since I haven't been able to get it to work in a single button I created 2 buttons.  Indivually both buttons work but combining them isn't.  Any ideas?Step 1 code: URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=er&rid=" & [Record ID#] &"&dfid=11" & "&rdr="Step 2 code:URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?act=API_GenAddRecordForm&dfid=10" & "&_fid_6=" & [Paragraph]  & "&_fid_7=" & [Publication]  & "&_fid_8=" & [Description]  & "&_fid_11=" & URLEncode([Staff Contact])  & "&_fid_17=" & [Effective End Date]    & "&_fid_19=" & [Record ID#]When I combine the code I'm using thisU

In case others haven't realized, the %%rid%% has stopped working on mobile. If you attempt to use a button on mobile in add mode that is utilizing this feature, the URL button will not function at all, and will not even attempt to execute your URL.Customer support as recognized this and states they are working on it. However, they have not told me any more information (such as if they have prioritized it, or is in their bucket of working on but will never actually fix). This has been broken for about 4 days so I do not think it is a priority for them.Just want to be sure everyone else knows as well. It's dissapointing, I use this feature in probably 20 or 30 buttons so now I will need to take probably an entire day to find them all and come up with a work around.I do have one work around that uses a helper table and an action to always find the max record ID. If anyone is interested they can let me know. Though with actions going away, even that will now become difficult. Sadly, Quickb

Where can I update where someone is directed to after a record is saved? Here’s my scenario. I have a table called Recipes. I have another table called Comments. They are connected in the app with a table to table relationship where Recipes is the Parent Table. In the form for the recipes, I have a button to “Add Comment”. If a user goes to a recipe record, then clicks the button to add comment.  Then they fill out the Comment form and save, they get this:   How do I update settings someone to tell QB to redirect them back to the home page?

OR my state abbreviation breaks Quickbase filters. Does anyone have a formula to share?

** Update:I managed to retrieve the ticket ID by using {{c.json.ticket.id}}The only one which remains is to do the same for the users, though that is not reading the value when formatting the jinja the same as the ticket request, even though the structure of the .json is the same.Hi Everyone,I have a Make Request, which has an endpoint which is pointing to our Zendesk instance: https://instance.zendesk.com/api/v2/users/search.json?query=email:{{a.email}}As you can see above, I am using the email address which is stored in the record field a.email - this checks if this end-user exists on Zendesk. After running the pipeline, it returns the following in the Output (I've redated extraneous data){"users":[{"id":13617301225116,"url":"https://instance.zendesk.com/api/v2/users/13617301225116.json","name":"Nick Green","email":"redacted@gmail.com"]}extra data redacted}In the above users array it has the "id":13617301225116 value which I would like to send back to the Quickbase record to populate

Hi, so I am having the user choose what type of employee they need to hire.if they're hiring a contractor, they'll also have a choice to an a full time position to convert that contractor later in time. I'm thinking - if they want the contractor data (Department, Level, Role) the same for the Full time position - I'd like to to have them click a button "same for Full time position" that will push that data over to the new fields for the full time detail.  This would all be on the same record and form. Thanks!

Hi, From the previous post (Add Save and Keep Working Button on form for a new record ), Hunter provided a wonderful solution to save the new record. If going further, is it possible to edit the new record within the same URL? I tried  the following, but got the error message "Missing "rid" parameter""URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?act=API_EditRecord&rid=%%rid%%"&"&_fid_20="&URLEncode("Yes");My intention is to use one button instead of two buttons to provide the function:(1) save the current new record (2) edit this new record. Any suggestion?  Thanks in advance!

I have a scenario where I have a parent table with a list of trial numbers.I have a related table that has a list of subjects.  Each trial has many subjects, and some subjects have more than one trial. In my form, I want to be able to add a new subject.  In one field, I have labeled the primary trial, which is a table relationship picker. However, I also want to have a second field labeled the secondary trial, which would pick from the same table as the primary trial did, but with different results.  How do I make the referenced selector independent of one another?

I created a button utilizing the copy master and detail function.  The button works fine for me (app admin) but a user (participant role) gets a message that zero records were created when she presses the button.  I have checked and the participant role has add/edit/delete rights to all the tables and there is not access restrictions on the records. What else should I consider/look at to determine what is happening?ThanksEmber

Not sure if the title exactly describes what I am trying to achieve, but here is what I'm working on.I am trying to create a simple-ish application for one of my teams where they can track projects, enter associated time entries for each and then create invoices for those entries. My setup is Customers table, Projects table, Time Entries table, and Invoices table.Customers relates to Projects and Invoices (1 Customer can have many Projects and Invoices).Projects relates to Time Entries and Invoices (1 Project can have many Time Entries and many Invoices). Invoices relates to Time Entries (1 Invoice can have many Time Entries). What I'd like to have happen is when a user goes to create a new Invoice, they would select a Customer and then a Project and then see a list of Time Entries where Customer and Project match AND the value in the Related Invoice field is blank (i.e. Time Entries that have not been previously invoices). The thinking is that the user would then be able to select a

Hey everybody!I have a form I created to keep track of inventory in our IT room named "hardware". I have another form I created when issuing equipment (new assignments). New assignments allows me to search the user by employee ID number (that's pulled from another table called employees), and then i have a lookup field that brings up the details of the equipment when I search by serial number. One of the details it pulls is the "hardware status" that can be several predefined options like "in stock" or "Issued".  I have a checkbox on the form new assignments, that when checked and the form saved, I would like it to automatically update the field from "In Stock" to "Issued" in the hardware table. Is this possible? Where can I find documentation on how to do this? Thanks!Leo. ------------------------------Leo Matute------------------------------

I have a parent record with child work records.  The parent record also has child records attachments.  I'm pulling all of the information from the parent recod into the child work record, so the user does not have to go out to the parent record to see the details.  The one issue I have is how to show the attachments from the child record onto the child work record?Tables Parent Table--Grievence  child record--Work record            Parent Table--Grievence  child record--attachments

I have included the link to a related thread for this topic.  I just need additional info/help and have described my issue under the link https://community.quickbase.com/communities/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?MessageKey=a3c3baa3-807d-4295-ac20-4f7dc5250cd0&CommunityKey=d860b0f8-6a48-487b-b346-44c47a19a804&tab=digestviewer Here is a summary of what I need to accomplish: I have an EXPENSE leader table.  Each expense can have multiple Dates of Service listed.  For example: Expense #1 has 3 dates of service (similar to  a line item)  and a total due of $5000.00 Each listed expense below can/does have multiple related LINKS to it. Date of expense = 2/26/24   Total   $ 1500.00 - Date of expense = 1/23/24   Total   $ 1500.00 Date of Expense = 1/1/24    Total    $ 2000.00 I have a Links table that is the joining table between my INVOICES table and EXPENSES tables.  Invoices and Expen

Hi -- I'm attempting to update access permissions to an existing table which has Records according to 4 different Teams (Team A, B, C, D)  where Team is a field associated with each record.   Each record has basic title information and more confidential details.  I would like all users to be able to see the title information, but only see the confidential details of the Teams they are associated with.  Some users are associated with multiple teams.   I've tried creating different forms to assign to specific roles, but when I assign multiple roles to individuals, the additive nature of the roles makes users see more data than they should.   I've also tried to create a dynamic form rule to show or hide the appropriate sections based on the user role and the Team field but since there are four teams, I need four rules and that creates a conflict.    Is there a  simpler way of solving this problem? Thanks in advance!-------------

I am updating an app that allows EOTI users to add records (submit permit applications) to a table (Permit Applications) . There is a formula-number [Amount Due] field derived from several [*Category*] field values. The logic includes 40-50 hard-coded values (fees and expiration dates for pro-rating). The fees and dates will be changing in the near future. The payments are processed externally and not connected to QB. However, existing QB records will report an incorrect Amount Due when the hard-coded fees/dates change and be inconsistent with the external Payment system. I am considering 3 solutions to replace the hard-coded logic, but I am looking for feedback and/or alternate suggestions. Update the existing table. Create a new field for each of the 40-50 parameters and replace the hard-coded logic with the related fields. Use Default Values to initialize values for new records. Going forward, update the Default Value when fees/dates change. Create a new table (Parameters).

I have 25 tables in one app. 22 are unused tables.  They were previously used to track data but have since been migrated to another program.  My currently used tables still have relationships to a majority of these tables that are not updated.  Do these tables effect functionality for the active tables apart from the obvious missing data? Does it slow the program down?  Thanks!------------------------------HP------------------------------

I know for years getting this information has been almost impossible.  I wanted to see if there has been any updates. I need to be able to pull back the user role of a user listed in a user field. I do not give my users multiple roles so it will only be one.  Is there any way to do this now without having to create a new table to house the information?------------------------------Carol Mcconnell------------------------------

I have a situation in a new QuickBase and I have a table where the user(s) will enter the name and date when a record is assigned and then the subsequent transfers.  What I need is to pull the user of the latest transfer onto the parent record.   What is the best way to do this?------------------------------Carol Mcconnell------------------------------

I'm trying to compare the date created (fid1) to the current time, based on a value in KM Tier (fid1481).   The pipeline runs without errors but I'm not sure if this syntax is correct.   Does this look correct?   This should resolve to TRUE if, for example the KM Tier is 1 and it's more than 24 hours past the date created. {% if    (fid1481 == 1 and now > fid1 + hours(24)) or    (fid1481 == 2 and now > fid1 + hours(72)) or    (fid1481 == 3 and now > fid1 + hours(96)) or    (fid1481 == 4 and now > fid1 + hours(240))%} {% endif %}------------------------------Jeff Peterson------------------------------

Hello Community, I hope this message finds you well. I am currently in the process of changing my QuickBase domain from aaa.quickbase.com to bbb.quickbase.com. I have encountered a challenge related to Formula Fields in my applications, where I have used the URL of my current domain (aaa.quickbase.com). As part of this transition, I need to identify and update all Formula Fields across my applications that include references to aaa.quickbase.com, replacing them with bbb.quickbase.com. The sheer volume of Formula Fields across numerous tables makes manually tracking and updating each field time-consuming. I am reaching out to the community to seek advice or solutions. Is there a way to streamline this process, perhaps through the use of a script or tool that can automatically list all Formula Fields containing references to aaa.quickbase.com? Any guidance or insights on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and assistance.------------------------------Syed Ah
