Hi allI am creating an interest calculator report for our finance folks. I have a duration field to count the number of days between key dates for interest calculations but am running into 2 challenges:The number of days between dates comes back as duration (# of days) and not a numeric value. I need it as a numeric value to complete interest calculations. There are hundreds of loans and we need to be able to fill in the date interest is applied for all of them at once for the calculation. Ideas or is grid edit the best option? Thanks!Jesse

Is there a way to "turn off" the legend?  For example, these two charts don't need the superfluous "# of projects" on the bottom.  Is there a best practice here?

Greetings,In order to populate one of the tables in an application, a user is downloading a large CSV (over a million rows) from a database, and loading that CSV into google drive, so that it can be imported into QuickBase daily.   It is on replace mode. This means that records are only added/removed once a day - and not on a steady state.  Because of that, there is a delay throughout the day.We have an opportunity to have the records updated from this service in the json format - which would reduce manual effort, and give us a near real time view.We attempted a test, but the response was: { "data": [], "metadata": { "createdRecordIds": [], "lineErrors": { "1": [ "You don't have permission to add records to this table." ] }, "totalNumberOfRecordsProcessed": 1, "unchangedRecordIds": [], "updatedRecordIds": [] } } Authentication was checked out, and service was able to add records to a non-connected table with the same authe

I can't figure out how to do "=EOMONTH(A1,0)" like I can in Excel. Any ideas how to do this? The purpose is to bucketize all dates in a month across all months/years to a single date bucket for each month through time?

I have an approve button and right now when the user uses it it directs them to the detail record that the approval button is for. How do I change the button to have it direct them back to the page they were on before they clicked the approve button. Here is how the formula is setup now.URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_Onboarding_details] & "?act=API_EditRecord&apptoken=*AppToken*&_fid_15=" & URLEncode(User()) & "&_fid_16=" & URLEncode(Today()) & "&_fid_26=1" & "&rid=" & [Record ID#] & "&rdr=" & URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=dr&rid=" & [Record ID#])

Hellos,I have a scenario where I have a table where orphaned children exists , they can be recognised visually from hyperlink (See Screenshot). The question is how to filter for them so they can be deleted in QuickBase . I can do this easily outside of QuickBase but how to do this natively ?

Suddenly no Calendar reports will load in new forms.  Anyone else seeing this?  I've been dealing with this issue for most of the day today.    I'm hoping it's resolved before I have to switch everything back to the old forms. They either show the spinning loading animation, or it just freezes and never loads like in the attached screenshot.   They still seem to be working in the old forms though.

I need help with creating an userid field from the username that is listed in a related field. The userid then will be used to set permissions. Is there a formula work-around to make this work. In big need of this.... Thanks in Advance!

Hi All, I've started a discussion on the new experience. Please share your feedback here on the new experience.

I want my Alt Text field label to show above the field on the form instead of on the left side of it. I know there is a way I just cant remember. I am using the old forms. I've attched a photo. The part highlighted in green is what I am aiming to do. The part in red is what I need to fix. Please help :)

I've searched through the QB discussions and couldn't find a good example of creating a many to many relationship where I can select records from the same table. I have the relationship working from one table to another and visa versa but I'm stuck now when trying to pull a record from the same table (see attached). Here's an example of what I'm trying to do...I have one table named Guests and a second table called NonGuests. Both have a relationship setup to a third table called, "Related Guests". The Guests will have either family members, friends, etc... who are NonGuests. But, there are Guests who have family, friends, etc... that are also Guests. The issue I'm having is, when I create a Related Guest I need to pull a record from the same table because there are Guests who are related to other Guests. Am I overlooking the obvious?Any suggestions would be great as from what I've read you shouldn't create relationships with "Guests with many Guests".Thanks!

How to Force Index of File Attachment Field for Advanced Search? Can't See <Some Attached File> OptionHi Folks,The availability of the advanced search option <Some Attached File> seems random. Has anyone pinpointed how this works?I need to search within file attachments stored in a single QB table and have tried without success:Loading a single ocr pdf, setting the "Include this field when searching/filtering this table" option, then waiting 24 hours for indexing. No search option for "<Some Attached File>".Creating the file attachment field and setting the "Include this field when searching/filtering this table" BEFORE adding files. Then adding files and waiting 24 hours+ for indexing, but no search option for "<Some Attached File>".Removing other file attachment fields in the table. No change. One table has the search option for some reason, but I can't get the option to appear on any other table. Thanks!

Hello:I have a contract application.Goal: When the Contract Expiration Date field is on or before today, and the Exception to the Expiration Date Dynamic Form Rule field is unchecked, I want the Contract Status field to automatically change to Expired.Question: What is the best method to accomplish the above goal, form rule, text formula, or pipeline?1. I tried the below form rule. However, it works intermittently. I still see expired contracts that show as active 2. I created a formula - Text field named Contract Status Formula, but I am unsure whether my formula is correct.If(Today() <= [Contract Expiration Date], "Expired") 3. I tried to create a pipeline. My first attempt was to Search Records/Update Record. My second attempt was to On New Event/Search Records/Update Record. However, I know I am missing a step.Any step-by-step guidance would be greatly appreciated.Thank you,Roula

I am using a Pipeline to create a single record in a table with a Post Method from a Make a Request step.   I cannot use a Create Record Step as the number of possible destination tables is too large.  After much trial and tribulation that is working now.    The next piece of my workflow I need the Record ID from the record just created.   The REST API logic says to use a 'fields ToReturn 'Looking at the Activity I can see that the RID is getting back to the Pipeline.  However I do not know how to use it inside of the Pipeline in a future Step.Any suggestions from the Python/ JSON and Jinja wizards?

Simplest formula out there.  Year([Date]) - It works in the formula checker, but nothing is showing up in my table in the Year field.  What could be causing this?

Hello all! This is my first post in this forum.I am trying to create a formula URL field that displays as a button on a table report that is filtered by a single date. This button when executed should add the record, save it and return to the report with the same filters that the user started on.This is what I have set up:var text urlone = URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=API_GenAddRecordForm&_fid_6=" & [Related Placement] & "&_fid_12=" & [Week Ending Date] & "&_fid_504=" & [Job Notes] & "&_fid_505=" & [Placement Notes] & "&apptoken=(my app token)"; var text urltwo = URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "/tablereport?a=q&qid=16&nv=1&v0=" & [Week Ending Date]);$urlone & $urltwoThis will generate the form with the appropriate field populated, but the user must press the save button on the record to return to the filtered report. I have also tried modifying urltwo to var text ur

I created a form using the new form design option and displayed a report in a section. I selected the option from "Advanced Setting - Show Create Record button".This displays a "New Record button" for me when I tried to open the form. But then its not visible to people with roles other than Admin. How can I make this available to every role.

I am using the new form and trying to hide/show fields like buttons and checkboxes however they are not showing up as options to select when I make the from rule. I click to show fields and then my field is not even an option??? How do I fix this?------------------------------NOEL HODGES------------------------------

I have two tables one called Provider records and one called descriptions.  The Provider is the child and the descriptions is the parent.  The descrition table has two fields named Record Type and Record Description.  There is one Record Type/Description combination that I don't want to appear in the drop down list on the form but I can't seem to hide it.  The user picks the Record Type 1st and in a second field is presented with a list of desriptions that match the chosen record type.  In the related description field on the form, I changed it from record picker report to another embeded report and I filtered that embeded report to not include the description that I no long want showing in the drop down but it's still there. What am I doing wrong?

I'm trying to build a conditional url formula where if a multiple choice field equals a certain person, display this url. Unfortunately, it's not pulling in anything. Here is my current syntax in the formula URL field:If(ToText([Contractor Operations Manager])="Sally Struthers","https://calendly.com/sally.struthers") &If(ToText([Contractor Operations Manager])="Fred Flinstone","https://calendly.com/fred-flinstone")Any thoughts?

Is there a way to create an action to modify fields in the same table where the action is taking place? For example, when I change the status to XXX, I want the follow up date field to be changed to 45days from the schedule date field.

Hello again - one more for today!I'm self-taught in Quickbase and data management altogether. I'm trying to suss out the best way to pull some data. We capture a dataset on consults in our Quickbase. Every call our program receives, gets one record entered into Quickbase. Sometimes callers call us back for more than one consult on the same case. To this end, we have a field capturing "New consult" or "Continuation of consult". Then we capture services performed and patient demographics of the consult.... many situations can transpire in which we got that data on the first call, or on a subsequent call, and it's quite varied (for instance, first call may be very brief, they give us limited info and say they'llc all back/we don't get that info right then, but do on the longer subsequent call; the inverse of that, they call, we spend meaningful time, capture the data the first time, and they call back for some follow-up questions). Now, to extrapolate services (how many times did X happen

Hi all. I think I found a bug with Pipelines where using a Time of Day field isn't in 24-hour format even when you set the field settings to 24-hour. Can anyone think of a possible workaround?Most APIs use 24-hour format so having Pipelines only output in North American format makes it impossible to pass along the correct time format.Steps to reproduce:Create a Time of Day field.In field settings > Value display, enable 24-hour clock.Create a pipeline that sends a value in this field.Pipelines outputs the field in North American time format (for example, 5:00 PM), instead of 24-hour format (ex: 17:00).I tried using Jinja to reformat to 24-hour, but Pipelines doesn't support the jinja filters needed to re-format to 24-hour time. Here's the Jinja expression I tried:{{ time-field|replace(" AM", "").|replace(" PM", "")|stringptime("%I:%M")|strftime("%H:%M") }}

What does the 'in set' condition mean in pipelines? Does it simply mean, if that field is entered? If so, how is that different than having a trigger on that field?------------------------------Mike Tamoush------------------------------

I am trying to change the fields label in a table report using the Column headings option and it appears to be not saving and only visible until I refresh. Can anyone help?
