I have a formula url field that I'd like to show nothing or be blank if fid 6 (Status) = In or if Out show as a red button that says "Clock Out". Below is the current formula url field that I'm trying to modify.var text URL = URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_TIME_IN_OUT] & "?act=API_EditRecord"& "&rid=" & [Record ID#]& "&_fid_6=Out";var text RefreshPage = URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=doredirect&z=" & Rurl();$URL& "&rdr=" & URLEncode($RefreshPage)I've been looking at various posts that use additional variables to set the formatting, but I'm not sure how to incorporate what I've found into the above.If Status = Out then use:var text red = "<a style=\" text-decoration: none; background: #ff0000; border-radius: 5px; color: #fff; display: inline-block; width: 150px; text-align: center; padding: 8px 20px; font: normal 700 14px/1 \"Calibri\", sans-seif; text-shadow: none; \">Clock Out"</a>";If Status - In then use:var t

Is it possible to set the default value for an address field? I'm not seeing the typical "default value" property so wondering if there is another way.Thanks

Good morning,In short, I have created a pipeline that triggers on an event inside 'record 1'. It then creates 'record 2'. 'Record 2' ends up being created/ owned by me, however, I would like to change that to the person who created/ owns 'Record 1'. I am open to all ideas and suggestions.Thank you for your time.Kind regards,Shane Miller------------------------------Shane Miller------------------------------

I need to export port a file which has over 400 fields and years of data.  When I try to export I get the following error.is there a way to split the data into chunks?  I still need all the data,  and would like to split in yearly chunks.  Is there a simple way to do this?  I am a total novice at this.

I have a notification created and below the designer area of that email there is the "Data Form" field.  The dropdown displays other forms in my table, but not a New Version Form.  How do I get my new version form to display?

Hi All,Can you please help me with a function/code to count the number of specific characters in a stringI would like to find the number of semicolon (;) in the string  "hi;how;are;you;"thanksPushpakumar------------------------------Pushpakumar Gnanadurai------------------------------

Y'all have been so helpful! I'm hoping I can figure this one out!I need to create a summary report that shows these totals in an easy report. I can't seem to figure out how to only have current MTD or YTD, just group by Month or Year, which isn't what I need. I can create a KPI widget for everything, but is there a way to show the KPI numbers in a chart that can be exported for our company analyst group?I'm hoping there's a relatively easy way to do this! Thanks!

I have a need to 'journal' within a record.Within a record there is a <journal entry> field which always defaults on display to blank (ready for a new journal entry by a user).A user places some text in the <journal entry> field, then clicks save.The system takes the journal entry, stamps it with a date and the users name, and appends it to the <journal> field. Then clears out the entry.The journal field is a read only text field with the latest entry at the top. Much like an email chain, looking like this:Mary Smith on 1/4/2024: YesJohn Smith on 1/2/2024: Con you get me the report?I got it working 90% using pipelines. But I have two issues: I click save and the record is not refreshed, so I have to refresh it manually, that is a bad user experience, I'd like some advice on if I can use a pipeline to force a refresh/redraw, and 2), the system enters a blank line after every update. I am using {{CLEAR}} to clear the journal entry field, which works great, but after add

Is there a way to send an email notification to an EOTI user?The scenario is an EOTI user submits a request (which includes their email address) and I want to send them a notification with a copy of the information they have submitted. However, when I look at the options in the notification To: field, it doesn't appear that I can select the email field.I also wanted to include buttons in the email that would allow them to submit updated information without actually ever getting into the app (for privacy reasons), which I understand is possible by having the button in the email prepopulated with data from the original record?Thanks for any light you can shed on this for me.

In my table I have three fields that are Text (Multiple Choice):Type of LeaveSemester of LeaveStatus of Leave When I try to create a Kanban Report, I only see two of the three fields under Card Groups > Based on drop-down field as options (Type and Semester, not Status).  I'm lost as to how to get Status of Leave to be an option to choose in Card Groups. FYI:  The actual choices displayed in these Text-Multiple Choice fields are different, but the three fields are otherwise have duplicate settings.What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it so I can have Status be the card group??

I am trying to get the Quickbase app to load on our Samsung tablets that we have at our manufacturing plant, however whenever I try to log in with the app on our company's realm I get various error messages. One of the tablets has a message ending in "net::ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE", and the other has one ending in "net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS". If you would like me to send a screenshot I can do that as well.Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I'm trying to send a request to the fedex api for checking package status.   I have everything working up to the step where the actual request is being made and it appears the headers are not being constructed properly by the pipeline channel:Here,  I'm just using the example, but instead of headers like:X-One:OneX-Two:TwoI'm getting this weird structure where it's only passing the names and values as arrays?   This keeps getting rejected by the fedex api stating that the token is missing. I'm sending the headers like this, per the instructions beneath the headers section, but I get the same malformed result in the output:Has anyone else run into this or knows what the problem is here?  I've been stuck on this for hours.

I am struggling infinitely with what I feel like aught to be so simple. It may involve pipelines, which I haven't broken into yet.I want to log changes when a field changes (assigned staff member). But first off - you can't save changes in a User field. Second -- I've noticed when you log edits, the field then displays on forms as the entire string of changes..... so I've often thought, if logging is important AND displaying on a report (or filtering to charts) cleanly is needed, then it's probably best to make a surrogate field. So here I am trying to make two fields -- 1) Current Staff Assignment, and 2) Staff Assignment History.  The former triggers a change/logged edit in the latter. But I have no idea how to go about doing this. I was going to do it with Form Rules, but for multiple reasons (chiefly, that I'm using multiple forms depending on staff/use), I want this to trigger at a more global level. How can I achieve this?

Hi All,I'm setting up a support ticketing system in Quickbase for my company.  All of our support requests are sent to a specific email.  I want to set up a pipeline to grab the necessary information from an email arrives to create a ticket in Quickbase.One of the items I'm trying to grab is the attachment.  Most of these emails are forwarded voicemail files from our phone system.  I want to save a copy of the attachment to the ticket record in Quickbase.  Is there a way to do this?  I'm currently trying to utilize the Microsoft Outlook channel and I'm seeing a query step, but I'm not seeing how to retrieve the actual attachment, just the attachment name.

I recently took over an existing Quickbase that involves approvals based on various data points -one table is use.  Recently, I have been asked to require  approvals for specific users based on two different text-multi select text boxes. It should fill in "approval is required" in the approval status.   I have been unable to combine the two fields.  I am adding to the existing field formula for the approval like this but I need to make "Sales Leader Required" only when both options are true and keep getting an error.  I have a large matrix that needs different approval based on the Renewal Discount and the Renewal ACV.IF(Contains(ToText([Renewal Discount]), "Within Threshold"),"<div style=\"color:red\"> "& "Sales Leader Approval Required" & "<div>",Contains(ToText([Renewal ACV]), "<$100,000"), "<div style=\"color:red\"> "& "Sales Leader Approval Required" & "<div>","Sales Leader Approval Not Required")

Looking for a way to help users customize child related tasks when creating a new parent record. Nothing has been built quite yet but the basic structure would be to have a parent table Transactions which relates to a child table Tasks.  Each Transaction could have a dozen or more Tasks.  To aid the user in not having to create each Task for each new Transaction, I was thinking I could present to the user a "list" of available Tasks that they could select.  Then when the parent record was saved, each of the selected Tasks would be created as new records in the related child table (linked, of course, to the new created parent record). I'm thinking, to start, I will need some kind of field on the parent record which would display the list of available Tasks.  I would envision that this field would only be visible when the record is being created and hidden all other times. Once the Tasks have been selected I would need some way of translating each selection into its o

Hi, I'm building an app where the project is projecting out 5 years, but the project owner might only ask for funding for 1 or 2 years (to keep costs manageable, but they need to project to 5 years).I made a multi-choice field to select which years is the "current ask".Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 (these are formula checkbox)Then that field is a lookup on the table "resources" where all of the details/math/etc are done.I have checkboxes on the resources table that saysYear 1 askyear 2 ask, and so on.I want to calculate the financials for the "current ask". So If Year 2, and Year 3 are the "current ask", then take Year 2 Financials, and Year 3 financials and add them together to give me a total for those years.Here's the formula I've come up with:var text checkbox = (ToText([Year 1 Ask] or [Year 2 Ask] or [Year 3 Ask] or [Year 4 ask]));If($checkbox = "true",Nz([YEAR 1]) + Nz([YEAR 2])  + Nz([YEAR 3]) + Nz([YEAR 4]) + Nz([YEAR 5]))I'm getting a syntax error every which way

I have done this before, but it's been a while, and my brain doesn't seem to be working today.  I've also searched and not come up with the solution.  I have a form to add a record, it's open to "everyone on the internet".  I can open it in a browser I am not logged into and it works as I want it to.  Now I want to embed this on a public web page.  I cannot figure out the iframe embed code to make it work.  I have a specific form assigned to "everyone on the internet", and I'd like to strip all the Quickbase "stuff" from the page and just have a "Submit" button that saves and redirects to some kind of thank you page on the site.

I have a currency summary field in my invoice table that shows "our cost" which is summarized from another table in out APP.  I would like to create a formula checkbox field that will be checked if the "our cost" field is blank in my INVOCIES table. Is this possible to do?I have tried several formulas option in a checkbox formula field, the NZ function, as well as the Null function using another field I created and converted our cost to a text field. I need to use this missing our cost field for several other things as well, but cannot get the formula right.....Thanks

I have a new app that I duplicated from a previous app. The previous app was made in the old nav and has a lot of buttons (formula-url) that point to specific forms for editing specific parts of the flow. On the new nav, I get a 404 error every time I hit save; the record saves the new information, but it doesn't go where it should. My formula is below. What changes do I need to make to get this to work in the new nav? Thanks!URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_TRAINING] & "?a=er&dfid=16&rid=" & [Record ID#]

I'm attempting to convert a numeric field to a text field based on the the content. So far I have the following formula but it's not working. IF([Time in Role] =< 1 ,"Less than 1 year",[Time in Role] => 1.01 & =< 3 ,"1 to 3 years",[Time in Role] => 3.01 & =< 5 ,"3 to 5 years",[Time in Role] => 5.01 & =< 10 ,"5 to 10 years",[Time in Role] => 10.01 & =< 15 ,"10 to 15 years",[Time in Role] => 15.01 & =< 20 ,"15 to 20 years",[Time in Role] => 20.01,"20+ years") thanks!

Hi there,New to Quickbase, but have a big MS Excel background. What I used to find easy in Excel, I can't seem to get my head around in QB. If anyone can help enlighten my rookie brain, it would be greatly appreciated.I'm trying to colour-code a date type field based on multiple conditions:Say for example I have field called 'Survey Required By', which is the date for when we want a survey to be completed, and then another field called 'Survey Completed', and in this field we enter the date when the survey is completed.I want to highlight the field text or background in red if the 'Survey Required By' date is today or older, and the 'Survey Completed' field is blank.I've googled and tired many different formulas, but the best I've managed is to color code a whole row on a report, which I don't want to do. I just want the 1 field color changed.The formula I have so far is:if( isnull([Survey Completed]) and [survey required by]=today(), "red","" )

Hello,I have a checkbox field that can be manually checked, and a separate formula checkbox field that I would like to be checked if either the manual checkbox field is checked, or if a certain parameter is met. In this case, the parameter is that the Schedule Notes field contains the term "bip". I created the formula below, and the formula checkbox field is checked for sites meeting the specified parameter, but not for sites where the For BiP_manual checkbox field has been manually checked. Can anyone help me figure out what edits I need to make to the formula to accomplish what I need here?If([For BiP_manual]=true, Contains([Schedule Notes],"bip"))

Hello everyone,I recently re-created one of my legacy forms to new forms. One subtle difference is that new forms forces line breaks between log entries while legacy forms does not. Unfortunately, this is impacting the form factor of my reports.Is there any way I can remove these line breaks from the rich text log? I have found this script as a report formula, but it does not work as intended.SearchAndReplace([RichTextField],"\n"," ")
