Hello, I am currently building a webhook when a Employee Role field is modified.  I was wondering how do I carry over the old value of this field in the message body in JSON formatting as I already have the new modified value carried over? Thanks

Struggling with the correct formula syntax to evaluate the value in a field for color coding. I have a % field that can calculate to either a positive or negative number. I have a separate field that I am using to display a color depending on that % value. I'd like for the color field to show as green if the % is between 15% and -15%, if the % is outside this range (above 15% or below -15%) to show as red. This is the formula I've created thus far (using responses from other discussions), but nothing is displayed. If([Land % Change]>0.15,"<span style='background-color:red;'></span>",If([Land % Change]<-0.15,"<span style='background-color:red;'></span>","<span style='background-color:green;'></span>"))I even tried reversing the "<" and ">" but still nothing shows up.

I have a table to track parcel values. Each parcel will/can have 1 record for each year. I am trying to calculate the percent change for each parcel between years. I have the following fields:Parcel # - look up from another tableCurrent Year - number field to enter yearPrevious Year - formula field to calculate previous yearCY Key - formula field to combine Parcel # and Current YearPY Key - formula field to combine Parcel # and Previous YearValue - numeric field to enter parcel value for the yearPY Value - formula field that returns the Value of the record where the CY Key equals the PY KeyI'm trying to create a % Change field formula: ((PY Value-Value)/PY Value)*100The issue is, I think, the field types. The "Key" formula fields are Text fields, but the values I want to return are/should be numeric. So my formula for the PY Value is:ToText(GetFieldValues(GetRecords("{143.EX.'"&[PY Key]&"'}"), 11)).This formula correctly returns the PY Value (yay), but it is in a text field typ

I'm trying to set up a QA audit table with an accompanying form for staff to evaluate medical records. The problem I'm running into is both the auditor and the person whose record is being audited are employees and thus their names come from the same field of the same staff table.  I could go the cheap route and make one of the 2 fields on the form a text block but I'd rather not. Is there a way to have a form pull 2 different names from a related table instead of locking on one? Thanks in advance

I'm looking to help to create a formula for a field REQUESTED LOAN AMOUNT that I am looking to have a formula based on the following logic.I have a list that users can choose. Transaction TypeAcquisition, Refinance, SupplementalThere is a radio box Loan Req Input -  the user selects one either LTV or Loan Req $ Input. The formula I’m looking to write looks at the selection Transaction Type and then to the Loan Req Input and performs the calculationIf Acquisition and LTV selected, then multiply Acq  price * LTV Request Input, if $ Input then use the $ Loan Request Input If Refinance and LTV selected, then LTV Request Input * Value, if $ Input than use $ Loan Request Inputthe same is for supplemental like the refinance.Thank you,Eric

Hello, I really enjoy the new features of the 'build your own' notification. More specifically, I think the ability to choose the 'record changes' element is very useful.A couple questions popped up in my head as I started using this:1. What feature allows this ("this" being 'record changes') element to exist? I assume it is some sort of API? Second, can this same 'record changes' element be utilized in pipelines somehow? I know I can do it with jinja2, I've done it before, but it is cumbersome and time-consuming. If there is some type of shortcut I can use I'd love to learn

Hi,In a Quickbase pipeline, I need to fetch a single record from a table. That record needs to be the newest record added to the table. I tried two common approaches but neither seems possible using "Search Records" or "Lookup Record" steps:  - Filtering so that Record ID = "MAX(Record ID)"  - Sorting by Record ID descending and limiting results to 1.Any help would be appreciated.Kinds regards,Uri

Hi,Is it possible to create multiple child records automatically based off of a quantity field in the parent table? For example - A new parent record is created and the Order quantity field in the parent record is 25. I would need 25 new child records created.Second nice to have feature would be that each new record has a component number assigned from 1-25.------------------------------Allison Corriveau------------------------------

Hi all!I am playing around with some options for my team in a new workflow. We have a Companies table that has all the known Companies. We will also have an Orders table that brings in information from online orders. The idea is to match each Order Record to an existing Company Record. (Each Company can have many Orders). What I would like to add, if possible, is a button or way to Add a new Company Record using the information in the Order Record (Company Name and Address) without having to retype all that information.Any recommendations?

Hi folks,I am trying to create a database of regulations and the app keep dropping the trailing zeros.  However, for my purposes, they are critical.  In world of regulations, 820.1 is different from 820.10 and 820.100.Thus, I can't just tell it to go to three decimals or those will all look the same.Is there a way to do this?

Howdy y'all. We use Quickbase for an HRIS. Within the HRIS, there's an employees table that contains fields for the hire date, termination date, and status. An example employee could have a hire date of 08/01/2020, a termination date of 08/01/2023, and a status of 'Inactive'.I've been asked by HR to calculate turnover. The formula they provided requires me to first calculate average daily active employees for a given time frame. The way I see it, if I just had that one example employee, that report would look something like this:Date# of active employees07/30/2023107/31/2023108/01/2023008/01/20230 Average daily active employees report would look at each date and count the number of employees whose hire date was on or before that date, and their termination date is on or after that date or null, and their status on that date was active. In this example, the average daily active employees for the given time frame is 0.5 (2 divided by 4).I would then need to create a summary report

Hello, Currently I utilize an audit log table which when viewing the form you see many sections which are divided by tables. Within each section, I have at least 3 fields:[field_name old], [field_name new], [field_name updated].Now one section (table) may have 8 fields that I want to track, which then requires me to create 24 fields. This is not practical, but it does work.My question. Is there a way to create an audit log with only a handful of fields:[field name], [table name], [old value], [new value], [updated value].Then have a pipeline which triggers on specified fields when modified, and create a record for each* field modified. So if I am trying to track 3 fields, and someone modifies those 3 fields. A pipeline is triggered and 3 records are created on this new simplified audit log.Hope my vision makes sense. I've been told, and often say myself, if you can say it out loud, it can be done in Quickbase. This one though is a doozy.Any suggestions?

Hi there,  deploy question here.  I have a production version and a development version of an app.  I have added a new table to the development app and created fields and forms.  Is it possible to copy the single new table from development app to production app?  Is there a better way to deploy changes to a prod environment? Thanks,Brian

I have a concept in mind and I think that Quickbase has the capabilities, but I just want to get input from others who know a lot more than I do.  So, we are a travel company and we have partner companies that purchase certificates from us.  Currently, we print them out with a specific code and number on each one and FedEx to partner for distribution.  Recently, we have decided that we would really rather the certificates go out digitally and that is going ok.  And now, I was wondering if it is possible for a partner to login to their "limited-access" portion of Quickbase and 1-enter in required info (name, email, account#) of person to receive certificate and Quickbase can then generate and email certificate and/or 2-partner logs in and is able to enter amount of certificates to be sent to his location.  I am confident that #2 can be done, but I am curious about #1.  Please share opinion, info, guidance.  I can tend to overthink the obvious. Tha

I need to rename an attachment.  I want to remove all blank spaces and replace them with underscores.  I found a post from 3 years ago that asked the same question.  There was no inherent solution at the time.In a pipeline, I can upload the file to Sharepoint and add text to the front or end of the name, but I can't inherently adjust the original name.In the below example, I am adding a string of characters to the beginning of the name but I can't figure out how to adjust the 'File name' property of the Attachment type. Any suggestions on how to change the the 'File Name' attribute prior to calling a pipeline (i.e., formula-text field) or within a pipeline will be appreciated.Thanks...Aaron

Table: Take/off CalculationsWhen ESTIMATOR VERIFIED is checked I need Pipeline to duplicate all records associated with GRAND BAHAMA.ALL to Grand Bahama.L and Grand Bahama.M

Hello all! I could use some help with a pipeline. I have a table called assets. When the sales team adds assets to an order they enter a quantity. There are times that the operations team then needs to take an asset with a quantity of 4 and split it into 4 separate asset records with a quantity of 1. I need to create a pipeline for this use case. I have seen the sample create child pipelines and neither one fits my particular use cases. I was just curious if there were any jinja/pipeline wizards here that could give me a hand. Thanks!Nick

I am relatively new to QB, but am excited about the possibilities for tracking multiple things.I have a table containing the names of documents within our system (primary).  Each of those primary documents reference other documents.  In addition, each primary document has a set of abbreviations/terms.I have built a table (table 1) with the documents and their identifiers.  There is a second table (table 2) that has a list of universal abbreviations/terms.In a third table, I would like to choose a single primary document from table 1.  Then I would like to choose multiple documents from table 1 that the primary document references in the text.  Then I would like to choose the multiple abbreviations/terms from table 2 to associate with the primary document.Example:  POL-0001 has a reference to SOP-1001, POL-1003, SOP-1004, and SOP-1005.  It also has 17 abbreviations/terms that are used in the document.  I would like a table that has all of these it

I am working on creating a new form, using the new form options, to update a legacy form. No major issues, other than a bit of wonkyness regarding field spacing. The only real issue is the displaying of formula url fields displaying as a button. I have 4 buttons (2 are hidden via dynamic form rules) and the only difference between them (other than what they do) is I selected a display color.2 of the buttons display with white font and perhaps a white boarder, and the other 2 display with black font and a black boarder. For the life of me I can't figure out where the setting is that determines if the font and boarder should be white or black. The formula url on all buttons have no formatting included in the formula.Anyone know what might be going on? I'd like for all buttons to display with my chosen back color and with white font and a white boarder. Thanks

I am trying to set up a date field that has changed logged within the form, similar to text fields. Is this possible in Quickbase, maybe using a formula? We are tracking target completion dates. These sometime change, but we want to track how often the target has moved and we want that visible in the form (hence not wanting to use pipelines to achieve this and tracked in a separate report). Any suggestions/solutions?The current field is Date/Time, which does not allow logging.

Hello, I have tabs for my info in the parent table - I've set up in one of the tabs to not have the "Add" button display if there are current open records that need to be closed before a new record can be added. However, I've noticed there is another button above the embedded report to also add records. How do I remove/hide this button with the arrow in the screen shot below?

Currently my pipeline:Does a JSON Fetch to retrieve a JSON responseDoes an Iterate over JSON recordsAfter the iterate I'd like to add a condition step that checks whether the # of JSON records is exactly 2   and then branch accordinglyMy iterate JSON step is Step 'd'.   I'm trying to figure out the right syntax to use in my condition step.In the advanced expression of my condition step I've tried  {{ d | count}}=2   {{ d | count}}==2   {{ d | length}}=2   {{ d | length}}==2   and all always resolve to 'True' even when the returned json only has 1 recordAny help is appreciated.

Good morning,I am currently running a pipeline that is supposed to trigger when the date modified field is changed, Now in most parts this works but for some reason there is certain times the pipeline will not trigger even though the date/time has changed. One solution I had was to create another step within the pipeline using a field of "Manual Date Modified" and timestamping it with {{time.now}}By doing this I was going to a new filter of if Manual Date Field is before Date Modified then trigger the pipeline, However, it will not let me select Date Modified as a subsequent step. This field is in built in field from Quickbase, Has anyone else ran into this issue previously? and if so were you able to fix it?Thanks.

Hello,I use QuickBase for IT Asset Management and need a way to search multiple Asset Records at once, to see their status and update in Grid Edit if required. I have a table called "Assets" containing a text field named "Asset ID". This field contains a unique Asset ID, (EX:D117380) which we use to identify the record.I have done some research but cannot make it work. So far, I have built a table called "Search" containing a Multi-Text field called "Search Multiple Assets Here:" I would like to paste any asset IDs here, click save, and then display the results in a Table or Summary below. I do have a table relationship, but not sure if it is linked correctly. I also tried doing this in Pipelines but could not get it to run properly. If anyone could help me find a way to do this, that would be HUGE!

Looking for a way to show a summary type list of items. In my application I have a Projects table and a Time Entries table. Projects can have many Time Entries.I also have a Team Members table. A Team Member can have multiple Time Entries.I'm trying to create a summary type report which would show the Current User a list of all Projects to which they have logged any time. I do not want to view each of the individual time entries, but just a list (non-repeating) of the project name.Example:Time Entries (table)Team MemberDateProjectBob Smith7/1/2024Project ABob Smith7/2/2024Project ABob Smith7/1/2024Project BBob Smith7/2/2024Project BSally Jones7/1/2024Project AReport would then Display:Bob SmithProject AProject BSally JonesProject A
