Hello:Is there a way to get details about a specific record, such as who worked on the record, edits made, etc.?The Admin Console Audit Logs are not giving me what I need.Thank you,Roula

Hello all, I have two tables:Physician Info: Contains columns for the physician's name, person number, and other static info about that physician.Credentialing: Contains the physician's name along with approval and renewal dates for various credentials. The reason I’m not combining everything into one table is that the Credentialing table is extensive, and I plan to add other tables in the future as well and if it is all in one table it becomes massive to edit.I know I need a Join Table to link these two tables. In the Join Table, I want to click on a physician's name and see all the information from both the Physician Info table (name, person number, and static info) and the Credentialing table (approval and renewal dates).I’ve watched the online many-to-many video multiple times and even have a simpler app that uses a many-to-many relationship, but I can’t seem to wrap my head around how to apply it to this project. How do I properly set up the Join Table to link these two tables,

I have another API Button question...similar to my last question.   Using the same table set up (below), but this time the button would be selected if it's for a license that would not be applicable and input from the User would be required.   I created a simple table that would pop up when the button was pushed asking the User to add information into the field. It would also check the [Not Applicable] button, then refresh back to the original page.   However, I get the attached error page.   Any thoughts?  License Master (parent table)Pending Locations (parent tableSuggested Licenses (a child (many to many table) to both above)Licenses (child (many to many table) to both License Master and Pending Locations / unrelated to Suggested Licenses)var text UpdateSuggestedLicense=URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_SUGGESTED_LICENSES]& "?act=API_EditRecord"& "&rid=" & URLEncode([Record ID#])& "&_fid_18=tru

I have  RULE that says when "Ready for Approvals" is checked and an attachment has been added, it triggers an email. Now I want that email to be triggered again if the attachment is modified, that is someone saves over the attachment again (they may or may not change the name). How do track that an attachment has been modified? Thanks!Deepa

I have 4 tables I'm working with: License Master (parent table)Pending Locations (parent tableSuggested Licenses (a child (many to many table) to both above)Licenses (child (many to many table) to both License Master and Pending Locations / unrelated to Suggested Licenses)I have a pipeline that searches criteria in the License Master to see if it matches criteria in the Pending Location.  If any License Master records match they are copied to the Suggested Licenses table.   On the Licenses main form the Suggested License embedded report has the API button I'm trying to create.    I want to be able to click the button to Add the Suggested License record to the Licenses table if it is applicable for that location.  Then edit the Suggested License record by checking the box "Added to Location" to then filter it off of the Suggested License report for that location.     This is the formula I currently have and I'm so close.  It adds th

Is there a way to have a field calculate and display time and half pay from an hourly base pay field?

Hello Everyone,I have created an API button, but I keep getting an update_id error. Can someone please help me understand what this error means so I can fix it? Thank you -Bart<qdbapi><action>API_AddRecord</action><errcode>0</errcode><errtext>No error</errtext><rid>26238</rid><update_id>1731629328550</update_id></qdbapi>

Hi team,I moved a table from one application to another, then move this table back to original location, the dbid didn't change, but the data was missing, showing blank table. Do you have any idea what connection was broken? and how to bring data back?Thank you.

I have a formula date field and this is my formula:If (not IsNull([Date ReOpened]) and ([ReOpened Reason]="Mishandled"),[Date ReOpened],"")I get an error on the last "" expecting date but found text. How do I tell it to do nothing if the the formula is not true?

I have a date field that is tracking a transition date, and need to create another field that will calculate 60 days prior to the transition date. How do I set up the formula in the field to show the date 60 days prior to the transition date?

I'm running tests on my app and am working on user/approver access.  So far I have been the only tester but soon the approvers will be testing but I would like them to be able to test on test records already created.  DB summary:  Leaves request db for faculty where single request (Leave Requests table) is approved by multiple (7) approver (Approver List table).  When leave request is submitted pipeline creates 7 decision records for each approver with status of "pending" in Request Decision table as well as also creating same 7 records in Decision Status Changes table (log of decisions).  Currently all records have me as record owner.  When app goes live it will have faculty as leave request owners, and would like all decisions records, in either Request Decision table or Decision Status Changes table) be owned by the specific approver user.  I can see it is possible to create a pipeline to change ownership for future records, but curr

Hello:I have two fields that I want to merge for reporting purposes.Application Status - PrimaryApplication Status - SecondaryI created a formula-text field named, Merge Primary/Secondary Application Status. I tried the formulas below, but none are working. We have a request to limit what records certain users can see. Our viewer role is directed to a Viewer dashboard where all the objects (reports, buttons, charts, etc.) point to specific reports where certain parent records are filtered out based on a checkbox on the record. I have hidden ALL tables from the viewer role so their only access to the system is via the viewer dashboard. All works as expected, EXCEPT for the global search box. The "hidden" records are not showing on the viewer dashboard reports but if they use the global search box they CAN access those records. Is there a way to configure the global search box to respect the user role or is there some other/better way I should use to effectively hide certain records both from reports and charts but also the global search box? Thanks

I have created a formula field by piecing together answers from similar posts, but now need to take things a step further and can't seem to find the answer.I have a notes field (Status Update) that is set to log field entries which prepends the newest entry at the top. The field displays as:[DATE User] CommentAdditionally, the formula results in showing either the maximum of the three most recent entries, or 2 if only 2, or 1 if only 1, or displays "No Update" if none.Original formula:var text LINEONE = Trim(Part([Status Update],2,"["));var text LINETWO = Trim(Part([Status Update],3, "["));var text LINETHREE = Trim(Part([Status Update],4,"["));If(Length($LINEONE) < 1 and Length($LINETWO) < 1 and Length($LINETHREE) < 1, "No Update",If(Length($LINEONE) > 1 and Length($LINETWO) < 1 and Length($LINETHREE) < 1, "- " & $LINEONE,If(Length($LINEONE) > 1 and Length($LINETWO) > 1 and Length($LINETHREE) < 1, "- " & $LINEONE &"\n"& "- " & $LINETWO,"-

I used the magic buttons app Approval Button, and it seems to work great! But I noticed that it redirects back to whichever version of the form you were on when you clicked the button - if you click it from the View Form, it takes you back to the View Form version, whereas if you click it from the Edit view, it keeps you in Edit view. I'd like it to redirect to the View view in either case so that the User understands that it has been saved. Anyone know how to do this? Here's the formula:URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=API_EditRecord&apptoken=APPTOKEN&rid=" &[Record ID#] & "&_fid_139=Approved&_fid_141=" & Now() & "&_fid_140=" & UserToEmail(User()) & "&rdr=" & URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() &"?a=doredirect&z=" & Rurl())

The new "sidebar" navigation sucks.Everyone in my organization hates it. It is needlessly cumbersome to do anything now.It is also really stupid that you guys aren't going to let us, the paying customer, simply have the choice in how we prefer to use it and instead force it down our throats after the new year.

Last week I scheduled office hours with Sam for Friday; I waited for almost the entire 1 hour, but the meeting didn't happen.I signed up for office hours again for today; I waited about 20 minutes, no one signed into the meeting. What's going on?

Newbie here! I need to get the word 'County' inserted into this List formula after the [County] field so that it shows up as, Chicago, Cook County, IL instead of Chicago, Cook, IL. Can anyone help? Thanks!List(", ",[Address: City], [County], [Address: State/Region])

Asking for a friend, A coworker just pointed out he is getting a duplicate report name error from Quickbase when he tries to name a personal report the same name as a report in a different table. For example there are  'temp' reports in every table in the App and never a problem. He has a 'temp' personal report in one table. When he tries to add a 'temp' personal report in a different table, he gets a duplicate report name error. Is this known or does he need to clear his cache again?

Hi, thank you in advance for any help,I am currently trying to figure out a way to look up a previous Record ID's date created and calculate the time between the old record ID's [Date Created] and the new Record ID's [Date Created] to calculate the time between for an SLA report function. For a description:I have 1 record that has an imbedded record called "Change History", Inside this change history, It logs any status changes that happen throughout the order. For Example:123 John Street (Order Number #27) had a job status of "On Hold", When this changed from on hold to "In Progress" a new change history is logged which would look something like the following:Embedded report showing all records relating to order number #27Record ID: #71, Date Created: 28/10/2024 14:22PM Order Created - 123 John StreetRecord ID: #84, Date Created: 29/10/2024 08:32AM On Hold - 123 John StreetRecord ID: #106, Date Created: 29/10/2024 08:52AM In Progress - 123 John StreetWhat I want to do is work out the du

Wondering if anyone has done the work to convert the Quickbase Audit Log Timestamp to local time? I export the logs via CSV and then am working towards a process to convert the "2024-10-28T15:53:25.956Z" timestamp to PST. I'm seeing it as a multistep process involving text to columns and then math. If you have a simpler solution, I would appreciate hearing how its done. Thanks,

Hi,Is there anyone facing issues with missing data or records on Quick Base lately? I am having this issue. Can anyone help me in understanding why this is happening?Thank YouNikki

Really amazing to have the ability to natively create PDF's in Quickbase now but I have a question to see if anyone knows how to take this a step further. We currently have a document builder code page that runs via a URL button (See attached image for code) and extracts a number of key fields from a Quickbase record to create a PDF and it then attaches the PDF to a field. These PDF's are old and contain information that's no longer relevant in the footer, which is why the new PDF creator is so great ,we can now refresh documents. The question is, how or IF, its possible to use the new native document generator process to automatically attach the new PDF that gets created to the same field where the old one used to be attached to. This is to avoid the need to manually download and attach the newly generated PDF.I appreciate this is still very new to everyone, I've also not asked Quickbase support on this, I thought I'd try speak to the Qrew for the very first time and see if anyone
