I want to get a running total of the number of rows in a report. I have a formula that is COUNT([field name]), which returns a value of 1. To get the running total value, do I have to first create a var text query on the field I am counting?var text QUERY //var text QUERY = "{fid#.}";Is the Running Total formula: SumValues(GetRecords($QUERY),fid#)

Hi all,I'll try to keep this as brief as possible. I'd like to know if anyone has a similar sized application in production and if they see any performance issues as it pertains to record loading and report loading.I have an Accounts table (table A) that will have 1,500 records total at any given time. This table has 3 children tables B, C, and D with 72,000; 168,000; and 168,000 total records at any given time, respectively. These children records will all have an Account# to tie it to their parent. On table A, I need to keep up to 4 years worth of data (Current Year, Prior Year, etc.). As a result, I will need about 1,500 to 1,750 currency summary fields per year (6,000 to 7,500 in total). This number then gets doubled because Quickbase does not have a built-in way to display numbers in Accounting format, so I need an additional 6,000 to 7,500 rich text formula fields. At no point in table A should I ever need a report with more than 12 columns of calculated summary fields for all 1,50

We intercompany charges for Quickbase app usage and I have been asked if there is a way to suspend or pause an app while this intercompany charge is resolved.  This app has like 225 users and about 50 roles.  I really don't want to go user by user or even by role.  I totally do not want to delete the app.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

Help Please.   I have a multi-select field that has the options of Mail, Email and Dept to Initiate.  Mail and Email can both be options.  In that case, I want it to display "Mail and Email".  But if just mail, "Mail, if just email, "email", etc.  However I can't seem to get it work correctly.  it does show both.  Then will show just Mail, but when Email is selected it still shows Mail.  I've looked at this so long and tried to refigure it that at this point is probably glaringly obvious, but I just can't see it.   This is the current formula I have:var text Receipt=If(Contains(ToText([License Master - Renewals Received via:]),"Mail, Email")=true, "Mail and Email", Contains(ToText([Renewals Received via:]),"Mail, Email")=true,"Mail and Email", Contains(ToText([License Master - Renewals Received via:]),"Mail"), "Mail", Contains(ToText([Renewals Received via:]),"Mail"), "Mail", Contains(ToText([License Master - Renewals Received via:

Hello,I'm trying to create a button that will direct users to a different app to create a new record in the other app.  The database ID for the other app is buwc5yqwzThe table ID in the other app is bupbavsbmThe related field in the other app is 38I've searched the community and attempted some examples that others tried but converting them from edit a record to adding a record, but I'm not getting anywhere.   What I have attempted so far gives a Page unrecognized error.    Attempt1: URLRoot() & "/db/buwc9wxmb" & "=API_GenAddRecordForm&_fid_38=" & [Record ID#] &"&z=" & Rurl()Attempt2: "https://xxxxx.quickbase.com/nav/app/buwc5yqwz/table/buwc9wxmb/action/nwr?a=cr&rid=new&field38="& URLEncode()Do I need to add a token?    Thank you!

I have a Combined Text summary field titled "Languages Spoken by Admin" that pulls data from a table also named "Languages Spoken by Admin" that I created. I added the combined text field onto a report on my "PSL Survey" table, but the problem is that the data is automatically sorted alphabetically (see 1st screenshot attached) and not how it's entered on the table shown in the 2nd screenshot (see attached). Does anyone know how I can sort the data by it's Record ID#?NOTE: I have read through different posts that suggest creating a formula text field, but I would like better explanation here on this post.

I want to do something like the below but I am unsure of the all the syntax for or that part is yellow. Can someone help me so this I tried ""If([Salesroom]="Playa Grande",[# of people in party]+1*7.81) or([Salesroom])="GS Landsend", "Pacific Dunes",[# of people in party]+1*9.63Thank you

I am attempting to have a third party web service initiate a webhook. In order to do this, I need to provide that service authorization to Quickbase via Oauth 2. Here are the fields it is requesting....URLToken URLClient IDClient Secret KeyScopes (Optional)I have tried all sorts of different configurations of information to try and get this to work but have failed so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a parent table with a custom key, and I have several formula fields with formula queries that pull data into the parent.  The ones that are summing into numeric fields work, but I also have one that is a checkbox formula.  I want the parent to have a checkbox if any of the children do.var Textlist vals = GetFieldValues(GetRecords("{48.EX.'"&[Custom Key]&"'}", [_DBID_TABLE_NAME]),43);If(Contains($vals, "High"),true, false)There are no syntax errors but it's not working - there are child records with a checkmark in field 43 but on the parent records there isn't a checkmark.  I know the GetRecords function is returning the correct records because it works for my other functions that sum correctly.I tried to run the formula checker, to check each step, but it doesn't work with my custom alphanumeric key.How can I figure out what's going wrong here?

Hello, I'm looking to use QuickBase's File Manager Plugin, but was wondering if anyone had found a way to be able to pass additional data into the child records that were created. For example, if I could pass on what "kind" of file it was (like Signed Request, Invoice, etc.) into a child table field.

Hi Quickbase Community,I'm working on setting up a pipeline that will create a record in an archive app. I want to pull over the employee name and title into the new record, but the only available option I have is the Record ID. Unfortunately, when I use the Record ID, it only brings over the number ID rather than the actual name, and there is no title option at all. How can I pull the employee name and title instead of just the Record ID? Thanks in advance for your help!Meagan

Hi Quickbase Community,I’m working on an app with a many-to-many relationship and would like to use Pipelines to automate the process of archiving records. Specifically, I want to move records to an archive app when an "Archive" checkbox is checked in the current app.Could someone provide guidance on how to set up a pipeline for this? I’d like the pipeline to:Trigger when the "Archive" checkbox is checked.Move the relevant record(s) from the current app to an archive app.Ensure that the many-to-many relationships are properly handled during the transfer.Any advice or examples would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance,Meagan

This is probably a super easy question but I am rusty and nothing I am trying is working and all the discussions I am finding are asking for more complicated formulas.I simply need to calculate the number of days between 2 date fields on a record?

I have a Formula - Rich Text field that is converting a Currency field "ToText". The value was Rounding the "cents" up to the nearest dollar value which I have solved for. However, now I can't get 0s after the decimal to display. I tried applying Abs (absolute value) but that didn't resolve the issue. Below is my formula...HELP!If(ToText([COR Amount])<>"", "$"&ToFormattedText(Round([COR Amount],0.01),"comma_dot"))------------------------------Ashley Solomon------------------------------

I am trying to create a form rule that will show a report when a checkbox is selected in the form.  Issue is that when I am creating the rule, I do not have any reports to select from (it's blank dropdown) even though none of my forms are hidden.  Attached is screenshot of form ruleCan anyone help me?

I am trying to have a form when a name is selected from a text multiple choice [Employee Name] search for the last time they checked something [date last tested] So when they select their name it auto pulls the date they last tested automatically.

I was reviewing this link in QB Help : https://helpv2.quickbase.com/hc/en-us/articles/30472167462676-Build-document-templatesIt says this:  "1. Go to the table settings for the table you want to add a template to. Select Document templates."However, when I go to a tables settings, I do not see option called "Document templates".Is this no longer an option? These are only Table options I see:

There are two relevant tables for this report, 'Parts' and 'Part Requests'. The Parts table is just a list of all available parts with their available stock, and the Part Requests fields include 'Related Part', 'Quantity' and 'Project Number'. I have a request for a report where users can enter the project numbers for the projects they are focused on, and they want to see the quantity on hand from the parts table compared to the sum of the quantity requested in the Part Requests. My problem is I cannot figure out a way to give them a dynamic filter for which project numbers to use. I was hoping if I just did a table report then they could just use the column filters, but they aren't giving the drop down with the option to select multiple project numbers but instead are just giving the single the option to enter a single text string.

In my Pipeline, I have a “start date” and “end date.” The start date is {{ today.now }}. For the end date, I want the pipeline to add 5 business days to the start date. Is there a way to do that?

Hello, With the new custom email, I don't see anywhere to CC anymore - I swear I had seen this before when it first came out.Am I missing something?

I have a formula with multiple Null and Not Null values, one of the nested statements needs to look at two fields so I used AND, but this generates an error "AND" cannot be applied. If(IsNull([Pallet Grp "C"]),0,((Nz([Low, Carton "C"] and (IsNull([high, carton "C"])),1)[high, carton "C"]-[low, carton "C"]+1)Can someone recommend a solution--if possible.

Hi everyone,I'm having some issues building the following: I need to build a table where a laboratory analyst can record analytical standards that they have prepared. I have one table that records reagent inventory and relevant reagent information like lot number, date received, expiration date, manufacturer, etc. For analytical standards that use only one reagent, this is simple to build with a one-to-many relationship. However, some standards are made with multiple different reagents. How do I get multiple parent records on a single child record? Any help would be appreciated!

In Referral (key Record ID), there is a field called Referring Contact - which is a key for the table Contact. In Activity (key Record ID), there is a field called Activity Contact - which is a key for the table Contact as well.  It also has a field called Team Member ID - which is a key for the table Team Member. The users want to know, for every Referring Contact in table Referral, the name of the Team Member who had an activity most recently with that Referring Contact. The Activity table contains this information but I cannot figure out how to get it into the Referral table to report - I think the two tables should be related, then there should be a formula field that brings the (newest) Activity record, with its associated Team Member, into the Activity Record.  But how to relate the two tables, since the "matching" Contact fields are not the key of either table?

Hello,I have an app used for credentialing information for physicians. I'm using a form as a data card visualization to provide leadership with a quick overview of each physician's profile and credentialing details. There is a section at the top of the screen with arrows for navigating to previous and next records, but they are currently unclickable. It would be incredibly helpful if leadership could simply click through to the next physician instead of having to navigate out and select a new person each time. Is this functionality possible to implement?Thank you!Meag
