Solved

I have been building a series of dynamic rules this afternoon and hit a snag. Basically, I have a list of questions that need to be filled based on location.Each question COULD be asked in multiple locations. I went thru thinking I could create rules to SHOW the question depending on the location. My problem comes when I have several locations which is basically are the EXACT same rule for a different location. I am finding the question only shows for the highest number rule. I did some googling and confirmed what was happening regarding the rule number. It seems the easiest way to fix this would be the ability to use an OR statement in the condition of the rule. I see several articles mentioning the same thing, but it doesn't seem particularly clear -   I can create the initial rule, then choose ALL or ANY for subsequent rules. Is there no way to do an OR here?   Should I be looking at this a different way?My example is similar to this:Boston  Q

I have a field to display a thumbnail image;the formula is If([Image File (jpeg)]<>"" ,"<img style='max-height:200px; max-width:200px' src='" & URLRoot() & "up/" & Dbid () & "/a/r" & [Record ID#] & "/e30/v0'/>")The image is not showing in the Form or Report view. Is the formula the issue?

Hello, Is it possible to consolidate several Text - Multiple Choice field types into 1 field for a report? I believe I would have to create a new field and a text-formula as well. My working theory is below:[Scope 1 Manufacturer] and [Scope 2 Manufacturer] and [Scope 3 Manufacturer] and [Scope 4 Manufacturer] ="Company A"We have over 100+ customers, so creating 100 field types for each customer seems to be ineffective option. Thanks! I appreciate this community's help.

very new to Quickbase.  I believe I have followed all of the instructions on adding a lookup field to a new record form.  I have the relationship between the 2 tables established and am trying to add the field to the child table.  It gives me the dropdown list the way I would expect but does not show any of the data that is in the parent table.

I'm not proud, lol. Asking for help with my tail between my legs. I'm missing something here. I'm in a form in Table "A". I want my button to open a different form in the same table in edit mode and check a checkbox. THAT'S IT! Here's what I currently have: URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=er&rid=" & [Record ID#] & "&dfid=14" & "&apptoken=apptoken" & "&_fid_216=1"  & "&z=" & Rurl()Thanks for any suggestions!

I have a Button in our QB App that creates a Folder for that Child Account name in Dropbox, it then takes the Dropbox Link for that Folder and puts it into a Field in the Child Account Form.  I want a Field that creates a QR Code that takes the person scanning the QR to that Specific Dropbox Folder.This is the Formula that i have write now, but its not opening the folder.var text URL = URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=dr&rid=" & [Dropbox Folder URL]);"<img src='https://quickchart.io/chart?cht=qr&chs=180x180&chl=" & URLEncode($URL)& "'>"

My objective is to prevent users from exceeding the available budget when logging time. Users can attach multiple task records to the DSR (Daily Status Report), and those tasks can belong to different budgets.I want to use a Formula query to obtain the value in the [Remainder (Available)] Field 64 of _dbid_budget, and compare the total of hours logged in [Units Delivered] Field 103 of  _DBID_TASKS. Once all tasks are attached to a DSR, the Total Units Delivered Field 108 of  _DBID_TIME_CARD (where the DSRs reside), I would want to compare available budget to hours consumed on tasks, and if there is an overage i will stop the flow of the report until it is resolved.I used a summary [Budget Line - Record ID# (Text)] field 267 on the DSR form configured for combined text, and was able to validate that I can see two correct record ID's when attaching 3 tasks and two of them using the same budget.The [Total Available Budget] field 268 formula on _DBID_TIME_CARD has no errors, but

Maybe this is not possible, but I'd like to insert variables in the class definition so that the stat of the record referenced changes the color and text of button in the report.The button [Edit DSR on Active Page] exists in a report on the user home page.The user initiates editing of an incomplete record by hitting that button, editing it until they they hit  [Save & Continue] which will increment the [Active Form] which is a page counter. User also decrement [Active Form] it if they hit the [Back] button.When the user reaches form 4, they are there simply to review their work. If they hit [Save & Finish Later] they return to the home page --- That's where the scenario changes. I'm attempting to use fields to provide dynamic color values so when they see the record in the report on their home page it will be green instead of blue and black text instead of red. If possible I'd also change the text.I made a copy of [Edit DSR on Active Page] and labeled it "Update DSR", then

I have created a parent table called "time reports" and a child table called "time spend on projects."On the "Time Reports" form, the user is able to enter the percent of their time they worked on each project using a grid edit/editable embedded table. The child records in the report have already been created by a pipeline. The user just enters the percent. The user does not create any new rows. I'd like the user to be able to see that their percents total 100%. I have created a summary field on the "Time Reports" form, but it doesn't update until the record is saved. I tried creating a button to just reload the page (having the auto-save setting turned on), but the data entered in the embedded table isn't saving, so it totally clears their work.Do you know a way to check the total value of child records while on a parent record live? Or a work around?I looked for past posts on this topic, but couldn't find any. Maybe I was trying the wrong key words. If you know of another p

Hello everyone, I am a master’s student, currently working on my thesis in the field of low-code development. I have compiled a list of requirements and would like to determine how well the platform meets them. It would be sufficient if you could simply respond to each requirement with “yes,” “no,” or “partially.” I hope it’s alright that I’m posting this here. I’ve tested the free trial versions extensively, but I’m still not entirely certain if this platform suits my needs. Thank you in advance for your feedback. (F1) Overview & ProgressStatus, capacities(F2) Notifications & Appointment SchedulingAutomated e-mails, reminders(F3) Document GenerationFor example PDF, digital signatures(F4) Automatic Calculation of DeadlinesFor example: deadline = start date + X days(F5) Central Document RepositoryStructured storage, archiving(F6) Template LibraryDigital forms to be filled out online(F7) Different Role ProfilesPermissions for students vs. supervisors(F8) Document Feedba

Thanks to those of you who have helped me get this project manager up and running! I'm encountering I think the last issue related to this specific workflow I'm trying to tackle. When marking off a task on project 5, I want it to create a task on project 8. This is currently how I have it set up, but changing the task in project 5 to complete does not trigger the pipeline to start.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can figure out how to avoid saving a record with duplicate attachments.The scenario is as follows:  I have created a new version form and added three fields attach type. These are mandatory. In legacy forms, this works partially because as I only validate that the name is not identical between the attach type fields. But quickbase has no validation at the level of the attachment field content level. Thinking outside of the box I have implemented the following dynamic formula to avoid saving, when these attachments are duplicates. But when I implement this dynamic rule in the new version of the form. it doesn't work.

I'm helping develop an app to track and reserve company vehicles. One of the requirements given to me was to prevent scheduling conflicts for the vehicles - essentially not allowing any overlaps for a given vehicle. I have searched this before and I found some answers on these forums that helped point me in the right direction but I'm still coming up short.What I've done is pair two formula queries into a field that would check for start and end time overlaps and add the queries together. The field is simply called Conflicts and if it is over 0, I know there is a conflict. My issue is two-fold.The first formula I used and works (sort of, we'll get to that) isSize(GetRecords("{7.OAF.'"&[Start]&"'} AND {7.OBF.'"&[End]&"'} AND {10.CT.'"&[Vehicle - Vin Last Four]&"'}",[_DBID_RESERVATIONS])) + Size(GetRecords("{6.OAF.'"&[Start]&"'} AND {6.OBF.'"&[End]&"'} AND {10.CT.'"&[Vehicle - Vin Last Four]&"'}",[_DBID_RESERVATIONS]))First things first is

I'm trying to write an If statement in Pipelines for an email that if the Separation reason is retirement, do a line break and include the field value for if they are staying with the company as an instructor. If the reason is anything else, do a line break and move on to the next line.{% if a.reason = "Other - Retirement" %} <br>Staying as Instructor:<b> {{a.instructor}}</b><br>{% else %}<br>{% endif %}This is the same-ish format I was using for another Pipeline and it works just fine so I'm so confused as to why this one isn't working. The error says Incorrect Template. expected token 'end of statement block'. got '='I want it to look like this if true:Reason: Other - RetirementStaying as Instructor: Yes/NoNext line: ValueIf False it should look like this:Reason: Other - ResignationNext line: ValuePlease help!! Thank you!

I have a Projects table and a Tasks table. We would like to have a button inside the Projects record to be able to print a report from the Tasks table without actually showing the report itself on the project form.If we add the report to the page, and use the More / Print functionality everything works, but for several reasons we would rather not have to show this report on the form and just have the button do its magic. Is this even feasible or do we need to show the report and have the user use the More / Print functionality?

Would love to create a rich-text formula button on dashboard that will create a new record in LEAVE REQUESTS table where Related Faculty = User.  Here's my try at a formula:var text facultyRecordID = ToText(    GetFieldValues(        GetRecords("{'[FACULTY EMAIL]'.EX.'" & UserToEmail(User()) & "'}", "FACULTY"),        [Related FACULTY]    ));var text ButtonWords = "New Leave Request";var text urlONE = URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_LEAVE_REQUESTS] & "?a=API_GenAddRecordForm&_fid_15=" & $facultyRecordID& "&apptoken=$APPTOKEN";var text urlTWO = URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_LEAVE_REQUESTS] & "?a=q&qid=11";var text url = $urlONE //& "&rdr=" & URLEncode($urlTWO);& "&NextURL=" & URLEncode($urlTWO );// Begin button stylevar text bgcolor = "#b71a1a";var text txtcolor = "white";var text style = "style=\"text-decoration: none; text-align: center; backgr

I have a Quickbase table where I track physician credentials. Since each physician can have multiple credentials, each physician has several rows in the table, depending on how many credentials they have. This structure is necessary due to the table relationships required for other functions in my app.However, I want to create a report that shows all the credentials (along with the renewal and approval dates fields) for each physician on a single line, instead of multiple rows. Is it possible to aggregate the credentials into one line per physician in a report?I'd really appreciate any help you can provide.

Is it possible to create a form rule for a modal to display, and it include a clickable link?

I have three tables in QuickBase: Physicians, UT Advanced Privileges, and Physician Privileges.Physicians and UT Advanced Privileges are parent tables to the Physician Privileges table.The issue: In the Physician Privileges table, the fields are displaying as reference numbers instead of showing the actual physician and privilege names.How do I fix this to show the names instead?

I'm having trouble trying to build a report that only shows distinct dates for a given variable. Scenario: I have multiple entries with activity date ranges. If those multiple entries contain the same date(s), I only want to count each calendar date once, no matter how many entries there are that contain that date. Does anyone have advice on how to achieve this?

I have an app tracking our department's flight delays. Depending on origin/destination of the flight, it's assigned to a group at a specific base. I currently have my app set up to "assign" the delay to a specific user with a table to table relationship based on airport code. On the dashboard, reports pull data based on the current user being in the "assigned" field. More than one person in each base may be responsible for following up with these delays. Is there a way to designate a user group, or multiple users (without making separate fields for each position) instead of one user to a record?If I can offer any other information to advise on this, let me know! Thank you!

Hi, I have a table with physicians and the advanced privileges they may have. There are 9 advanced privileges (there could be a few more down the line), and each physician may have a unique combination of these privileges.I’m trying to decide whether to store each privilege in its own checkbox field or use a multi-select field where you can choose the privileges that apply.I like the multi-select approach because it’s more compact, but my concern is that I need to be able to select a single privilege from the list of 9 and see all the physicians who have that privilege. I'm not sure how to do that with a multi-select field.Can anyone advise on the best way to set this up?Thanks!

I might just not be seeing it, but is there a way to duplicate tables or save a template for a table?  I need to make 51 tables that are all identical, except for the name and data that will be stored in it.  I figured it would be easier to make one and then create duplicates than have to manually build all of them.

I have a table that holds shipment data, Ship to, Reference #, Due Date, Ship Date, and then a formula field that returns "Yes" if the the the Ship Date is less than or equal to the Due Date and "No" if not.I now want to show an over all Percentage of how often we are On Time. Any suggestions on how to set up a report that would portray this information? I was looking for a formula that would count how many records where the On Time field = Yes so that I could maybe summarize that. Any thought on how to set this up would be greatly appreciated.
