I have a situation where there are two tables and the parent table has two formula fields.  One counts the number of child records and when that number is 10 or above the other formula field changes from No to Yes.  What I need to when a user creates a new child record and the number of child records goes from 9 or below to 10 or above and the formula field on the parent record changes from No to Yes, I want a pop up to alert the user who created the child record. Not sure where I should start on this?  ------------------------------Carol Mcconnell------------------------------

I don't want to post the HTML just yet but I have an Pipeline that I'm working on and everything is good except the html body of the email is not fully rendering.  It renders about half to three quarters of the email and the rest is just the html code.I have this exact same html in a email reminder that works fine.  Is there anything about that Pipelines that would cause this?Thanks.------------------------------Carol Mcconnell------------------------------

I have a Formula Currency field "Total Filing Fee" that needs to preform the following function: Take the value entered in "Filing Fees - Manual". If the field is blank then check to see if "Charge Filling Fee?" is check (lookup). If it's checked then take the value in "Filing Fees (per Filing)" (lookup). If the checkbox is unchecked then the fee should not be pulled into the Formula field and it should just calculate as a $0.00 Below is the formula that I have built. It pulls in the "Filing Fees - Manual", but stops there. I would greatly appreciate any input. Nz(([Filing Fees - Manual]),(If([Schedule - Charge Filing Fee?]=true,[Schedule - Filing Fees (per Filing)],0)))With Manual Fee:Without Manual Fee:------------------------------Ashley Solomon------------------------------

Just wondering, Is the timestamp, Last updated by, a combination of the Date Modified and Last Modified By fields? Or is there a difference. Thanks, ------------------------------James Dalton------------------------------

I am trying to set a field to [MyField] * .68 I tried this: {{a.MyField  .68}} but that syntax wont even save. I also tried {{My.Field}}*.68. This saves, but produces an error when the pipeline runs. I know I could make a field in my Trigger table that does this calculation, but I would rather learn how to multiply in Jinja!------------------------------Mike Tamoush------------------------------

I am trying to formulaically change a date with a PipelineIf I hard code the change in the date it will work with the following expression{{a.date +time.delta(days=2)}}However if I use a variable {{a.date +time.delta(days='a.numeric_field')}}I get the errorValidation error: Incorrect template "{{a.date +time.delta(days='a.numeric_field')}}". TypeError: cannot concatenate 'str' and 'int' objects The field a.date is the string and a.numeric_field is my integerI have tried all sort of variations to convert the data type such as  'a.numeric_field|str' Str(a.numeric_field) However my syntax is aways wrong.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.------------------------------Don Larson------------------------------

I have a Search step that looks at all the child records for a parent.  In that Search I am collecting a single Date Time Stamp Field. Then I am evaluating the field to get the max value using this Jinja Expression:{{a|max(attribute='child_table_date')}}It does work, picking the maximum value from all the fields in the child table.  However I am getting much more than just a date time stamp.--- child_table_date: 2022-11-04 00:00:00+00:00 created_at: 2022-07-26 02:40:56.063000+00:00 id: 3 last_modified_by: email: DLarson@MCFIndustries.com first_name: Don id: 56472559.bjvz last_name: Larson screen_name: DLarson_MCF record_owner: email: DLarson@MCFIndustries.com first_name: Don id: 56472559.bjvz last_name: Larson screen_name: DLarson_MCF updated_at: 2022-11-17 04:10:31.507000+00:00 ...I hoped to only get2022-11-04 00:00:00+00:00which I would use for another stepSurely there is something missing from initial expression and it should not be providing everything else about the recor

Good morning QuickBase Community, Question: If I'm using a shared value from field #1 in field #2 (different tables), how can I link them? Your help here would be greatly appreciated. I am a Data team of one! I currently have two tables in quickbase – An employee table (built already)– where each employee gets a row with their demographic info. Primary Key: Each individual's User ID A managers table– where each employee gets a row for every manager they had. A manager will always be an employee. I have the tables set up successfully (down to each manager being associated with an employee user ID from shared values) except I'd like to be able to link each manager to its corresponding employee table record (e.g., if Hagos is a manager, his manager record is linked to his employee table data). That way, I can pull relational things like what's highlighted and do other things that rely on relationships (e.g., drilldowns, counting the # of direct reports a manager has). I've been trying to run a Pipeline that is triggered based on formula field changes but the triggers don't seem to fire the Pipeline. For instance, I have a numeric formula field that changes daily based on a recommended frequency value - the days since last activity, e.g. [Recommended Frequency] - [Days Since Last Activity] = 1, tomorrow will equal 0 so the field changes but the Pipeline does not trigger.  My advanced query is looking for this change.  Field ID 181 is the formula field: {'181'.EX.'0'}.I also have a checkbox formula field that is super simple where it looks to see if the next preventative maintenance date is equal to today, e.g. [Next PM Date] = Today(), then true, else false. Now I've tried triggering based on either condition once they change, but the Pipeline doesn't seem to pick up on either change.  Is it that Pipelines just don't trigger on formula field changes?------------------------------AR------------------------------

I am trying to take a summary field of users (which in reality is a text field of email addresses), and convert it to a user list field. My attempt did not work and I am not sure why. I created this formula in a field we will call [Converted To Correct Format Formula]:If(ToText([Combined Text Field])<>"","Touser(\"") & SearchAndReplace(ToText([Combined Text Field]),";", "\"),touser(\"") & If(ToText([Combined Text Field])<>"", "\")")That yields a result such as:Touser("email1@email.com), touser("email2@email.com")I made a user list field and if I do the following, it works:touserlist(Touser("email1@email.com), touser("email2@email.com"))But if I try this, it failstouserlist([Converted to Correct Format Formula])It tells me it is expecting a userlist but it is text, which I guess makes sense as it doesnt know what my formula field yields. Is there an easier way and I am just over complicating?------------------------------Mike Tamoush------------------------------

When I am creating a summary text field on my parent table, is there a way that I can limit the child records to the most recent 3 records?Parent (Invoices) -> Child (comments)We only want to see the 3 most recent comments in the summary field.

Hi friends!I am trying to convert a timestamp over to a Date/Time field and am failing miserably.  I have a text string that am I am extracting elements from using multiple formula fields, one of which is the intended Date/Time field.  I have all the other text fields working just fine but can't get the formatting right on the Date/Time.A snippet of the text I receive is: {"owner":"frank@example.com","leadsource":"leadballer","time":"2022-08-11T13:18:08+00:00","type":"InvitationAccepted", ... I can easily get that converted to text via a Formula-Text field and the formula:var number start = Find([Original JSON], "\"time\":\"");var number end = Find([Original JSON], "\",\"type\"");var number startlength = Length("\"time\":\"");Mid([Original JSON], $start+$startlength,$end-$start-$startlength)However, when I change over to a Formula-DateTime field and try to use ToTimestamp or other type conversions, it fails and I get a blank result.  Any suggestions on how t

I would appreciate any suggestions on the best way to set up a new app to be able to create this simple table: Market Total Items MS 2 Items MS 3 Items Houston 17 16 4 Indianapolis 22 0 0 Atlanta 13 7 6 Miami 0 0 0 Los Angeles 0 8 10 TOTAL 52 31 20 Each market has multiple records which have any number of items in the 3 categories.  The different item types are summed to give the number shown above. It seems like a simple table, but I haven't been able to figure it out.  Please help!------------------------------Mike Sanders------------------------------

What would cause a user field not to be updated?I have a checkbox, user and date field.  I have a form rule that when the checkbox is checked to update the user to the current user and the date to the current date. The date updates but the user field will not.  Here is the rule.------------------------------Carol Mcconnell------------------------------

Is there a way to convert text into numerical values?  What I am trying to do is have several fields where the choices can either be yes, no or NA.  I want each of these to assign a numerical value.for example:field one: yes = 30, n = 0, na = 30field two: yes = 30, n = 0, na = 30field three:  yes = 40, n = 0, na = 40Then I want a field at the end which gives the percentage ... so if field 1 was yes, field 2 was no and field 3 was yes the score would be 70%.  Attached a mockup screenshot of what I mean.  Thanks. ------------------------------William------------------------------

Any thoughts of how to add 3 months to a date, but if it lands on a saturday or sunday, bounce forward to the monday, or bounce back to the friday? I have a Daily Status Report (DSR) form which contains several rules, and 2 reports. one of those reports points to a TASKS table. Each record in the shows a "copy" button, which purpose is simply to duplicate the task in that row with all the same data. The DSR uses Iframe (launching the DSR Form using IFV=1)Problem: when you click the "Copy" button it does what it is supposed to by duplicating task,  BUT it drops you back into the DSR form without the Iframe controls - basically it looks like any other form. The code looks like this:var text Copy = URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?act=API_CopyMasterDetail&relfids=80&recurse=false&copyFid=6&destrid=0&sourcerid=" & [Record ID#]var text DisplayDSR = URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_TIME_CARD] & "?a=dr&rid=" & [Record ID# of Focus DSR];$Copy& "&rdr=" & URLEncode($DisplayDSR)I tried modifying Display DSR by adding iframe in the end like this: var text DisplayDSR = URLRoo

I have a notification email.  The recipient of the email (me) and the owner of the Notification record are both in an Administrators role that have no restrictions on the table in question.  Yet when I receive the email from the notification being fired, some fields are missing and one field in the subject line is printed as "*no access*".  Interestingly, the fields that are not showing up do in fact line up with another role, 'Viewer' that does not have access to those fields.  But again, both the owner of the Notification and the recipient do not have any limitations on the fields. Is there some way that the Notification email is using the wrong Role when determining what fields are visible based on permissions?  Does it automatically pick a Role? Thanks for any insight!------------------------------Daniel------------------------------

Hi,I was going through the quickbase university courses and came across this use case of using pipelines' Quickbase Records Updated feature to log changes to a table. Building Powerful Pipelines Using included FeaturesI have a similar use case, but I have nearly 40 fields in the table and I only want the log a single changed field in the log table. In coding, I would do something like:  for field in table_fields: if field.prev.value != field.current.value: create_logs_record(field.name, field.prev.value, field.current.value, ...) Is there a way I can efficiently do this in pipelines using jinja or some other method?Currently, I have a trigger on update and then a long series of `if changed, create record else ...` which is tedious to create and would be difficult to modify.------------------------------Bradley------------------------------
