I DO NOT WANT PURPLE Anywhere on my Apps!
We have an Enterprise account and our corporate colors are orange, gray and white. We tolerated the QuickBase Blue but the change yesterday has made our apps unusable and extremely 'non-branded' All of our users, internal and external are confused and want us to go back to our corporate colors and old fonts so things fit on the pages. However when trying to provide a white banner the links in the top right become invisible... There also seems to be NO WAY to get rid of the horrible purple that has nothing to do with our brand. When will we be able to brand our Apps as our own with our own colors?7Views4likes15CommentsHow do you hide the UI elements (including the table bar) at the top of a form?
I remember it has something to do with adding a few letters to the end of the URL but I can't remember which letters! I have used it before for forms but am hoping to test it with a QB home page this time.47Views2likes8CommentsHow to stop user(s) requesting permission to create applications billed to the account
We are periodically getting an email from users stating they are requesting permission to create applications billed to the account. Checking in with one of the users, the request to create an app came as a popup on the screen. The popup is exited out (clicking the X), though the user has to click several times to close it. These are not desired requests, yet as the account administrator, we receive emails that the users are requesting it. It seems this is an error with the popup if they are not actually making the request. Is there a way to disable this popup for the users from randomly appearing? I'm not sure yet what this looks like. Hoping it's an easy solution to resolve. Thanks!16Views2likes7CommentsLink/button to open specific form
I have a report that lists customers. When I choose a customer it brings up a form that has a ton of useful summary info about the customer brought in from many parts of the application (this is done with report links, charts, etc). I would like to be able to insert buttons (or links) on other forms (in other tables) in the app so that when I am viewing a particular customer I can reference info for the customer by launching that useful summary form for that specific customer. Ideally the form with the summary customer info would open in another window so the user can easily reference info between that new window and the form they were working on (or at least open it in a new tab). I assume this can be done with a formula url field but I am not clear on the code to use that calls the specific form I need and also ties to the customer of the record I am in at the time. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Tony90Views2likes34CommentsList of things that should be CUSTOMIZABLE on our Apps
Here is an outline what at a very minimum should be customizable: 1. Ability to add a logo (exists today) 2. Header color 3. Header icon/text color, font and size 4. Tab color 5. Tab text color, font and size 6. Icon bar icon colors (including standard QuickBase Icons) 7. Report Header color 8. Report Header text color, font and size If you want to put QuickBase somewhere on the page for your own branding put it in the footer "Powered by QuickBase". Many web apps offer these features in their free version. PLEASE give us this ability. I hope other reply to this in support and with others I may have forgotten4Views2likes18CommentsCreating a Quick Base action to ADD record in separate APP
I'm trying to set up a Quick Base action that copies field data to fields in a table with in a separate app. I chose the correct APP and Table the new record will be created in Select the options in the "What values will the new record have" section and then save the action. Then when I reopen the action, all of the options that I have created in the "What values will the new record have" are no longer there. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?2Views2likes3CommentsSelling an app to my clients...
Hi, I am working on an app that I think I can monetize, sell to several of my clients. I am having a hard time finding any guidance on how to best do this. Am I able to copy the app into their QB account? Or would it be better to keep the app in my QB account and then grant them access? If I do this for multiple clients will they be able to use SSO on their end? Hope the question makes sense. Thanks for your help!28Views2likes5CommentsIs there a way to white label Quickbase?
Looking to see if it's possible to white label QuickBase? My team has built a number of apps for our clients in QuickBase. I want to minimize/eliminate the QuickBasebranding. We've been able to brand most things, but one area specifically is the domain. Right now it's set up as [ourbrand].quickbase.com. Would like to be able to mask or CNAME that as [subbrand].[ourbrand].com, etc.18Views2likes1CommentAdding a button to one report that references a report from another table filtered by Record ID#
I want to create a button on a report that references a timeline report from another table. Both tables are in the same application and linked by Record ID#. I want the timeline report (child table) that is launched from then main report (parent table) to be filtered to show only records that link. Also, I want to change the name of the button but the "Text Link" field doesn't appear to be overwriting the URL. I've tried:"https://my company.quickbase.com/db/tableID?a=q&qid=16" - with "16" being the report number in the child table. I get the all timeline records not just those associated with the parent record. I tried adding & [Record ID#] at the end and received an error. I've tried:URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_Child Table Name] & "?a=q&qid=16&nv=1&v0=" & [Record ID#] and failed to get the desired results. I also tried:URLRoot ()&"db/"&Dbid(child table ID)&"?a=q&qid=16&nv=1&v0="&[Record ID#] and this errors out completely. I've filled in the box for "Link Text" but this doesn't override. I have checked "Don't show 'http:..." I've checked "Display as a button" and "Display in bold" which does work.17Views1like18CommentsSandbox App option not appearing
I wanted to create a sandbox app so that i can test some much needed changes to a few tables without making those changes live yet, however while i was following the steps listed here:https://help.quickbase.com/user-assistance/how_to_update_QuickBase_applications.html , I noticed that there was no "Sandbox" option anywhere in the apps settings. I made sure with my boss that we had the platform plan and even checked to see if it was a permissions issue by seeing if she was able to create the sandbox, yet she was unable to see the option just like me. We both have the two highest roles in the database so im not sure as to why we are unable to see the sandbox option, am i missing a step or are the directions outdated?10Views1like3Comments
