Dropdown reports list for homepage?
I typically use buttons on my app's homepage to give users quick access to the reports they need. I now have a scenario where it'd be really useful to have a list of reports accessible via a dropdown menu on the homepage. Is this possible? I can't find a way to do it, so I'm guessing that if it is possible, it's going to be complicated - but asking here just in case there's a widget I'm somehow missing. I can achieve the same thing via a bunch of buttons (or a single button and getting my users to filter), but a dropdown would look 'tidier'. While on the topic of making reports accessible from an app's homepage - am I understanding correctly that if you use the Reports List widget, that widget will display ALL the reports in the selected table(s), or is there a way to limit the list to specific reports?21Views0likes1CommentCreate a Dashboard from Multiple Reports with Similar Fields
Hello, For context: I have 3 separate tables to manage research study data. Let's call them Study 1, Study 2, and Study 3. Each study has follow-up visits at different designated Timepoints. Some Timepoints has a ± 7-day window, and other Timepoints have a± 14-day window for when the visit can take place. For example: Study 1, Patient Timepoints Patient ID Start Date 1-Month Window 3-Month Window 001 01/01/2024 01/24 - 02/07 03/25 - 04/08 002 02/01/2024 02/23 - 03/07 04/24 - 05/08 003 03/01/2024 03/24 - 04/07 05/25 - 06/08 I have fields in each table to calculate each of the Timepoint Start and End Dates based on the patient's start date (1M Start Date, 1M End Date; 3M Start Date, 3M End Date; etc.). I then combined each timepoint's start date + end date into one field to minimize the number of fields in my report (1M Window). Lastly, I added a formula-text field that returns the Current Timepoint each patient is in, example:1-Month Visit, 3-Month Visit (when the patient is within a timepoint);or 1-Month Upcoming, 3-Month Upcoming (when the patient is in between timepoints). This allowed me to create a custom report within each Trial/Table filtered for just the patients who areactive within a timepoint. I am trying to figure out how to consolidate the custom reports into one dashboard. The problem is, although each trial has identical field names, the fields are calculated differently due to different timepoints and different windows. Any ideas of how I can create a dashboard/report to show all active patients and their windows across all trials?22Views0likes1CommentKPI Blocks on the new dashboard - reducing decimals
I created a new KPI block on the dashboard against a gauge chart for the average against a formula number field. On the gauge it shows a huge number of decimal, and that is brought over to the dashboard even though I have it set to only one decimal place. Any idea how I can fix this so it just shows to the nearest whole number? ------------------------------ Sean Boat-Moore Manager SMB Development Project Management Office and Quality Control NCR Corporation sean.boat-moore@ncr.com | ncr.com ------------------------------5Views0likes6CommentsKeeping Filters from Dashboard
Hi friends! I know that we're unable to add a grid edit report to the new dashboard. However, from the table report added on the new dashboard, when my users select to 'Open Report' any of the filters they selected from the dashboard are removed. We have similar dynamic filters added once the report is opened, but their goal is to use grid edit mode based on the filters they selected from the dashboard. Any thoughts or insight on how I can ensure the filters stay with the table report once it's opened outside of the dashboard? I really appreciate any help you can provide. ------------------------------ Jessica Adkins ------------------------------0Views0likes1CommentWhat is the default home page for a user with more than one role in a application?
Hi All, Whenever I assign two different roles for a particular user(Access via Individual) the lower-priority role's home page is displayed as a home page for the user. I override the role between Admin and Viewer(The roles are QuickBase default roles, the permissions are also set as default, and admin is set as the default role for my application). But according to the QuickBase help guide, the higher priority role's home page should be displayed as a home page for the user. But when I override the lower priority role's home page is displayed as a home page for the user. What is the expected behavior here? Reorder Role Priorities Quickbase Help remove preview Reorder Role Priorities Roles determine what a user can see and do inside an application. But what happens when roles collide? It's possible for a user to have multiple roles within the same application. For example, say a user belongs to two groups, and you've granted both groups access to your application but with different roles. Is there a way to embed grid edit reports onto a Dashboard page? Use Case: Project Managers would like to have a dashboard page, filtered by their impacted projects that displays 3 side by side grid edit reports to quickly Edit Decisions, Risks and Actions, which when saved would immediately recalculate dashboard gauges. Considerations: Opening a table report and editing from there within the dashboard is very clunky and only one table at a time. I recognize I could easily build a form that would enable embedded child tables, but then lose the ability to filter the parent table records. What am I missing? ------------------------------ Annetta Coleman ------------------------------8Views0likes2CommentsColumn Widths on Dashboard Reports
Good morning, I have a dashboard that we use to take a screen shot to send out updates. Suddenly, one of my reports does not fit, as the columns are wider. I read someone else's post about dragging the column width. This works in the actual report, but they are still too big on the dashboard version. I saved the report, then deleted and added it back to the dashboard, but it doesn't stick. Any suggestions? HI All, When I apply an initial filter to a report and then added it a dashboard and then user a filter on that report widget in the dashboard it seems to wipe out the initial filter of the report. Is there a way to make initial filters operate like a view in a DB? What I would like is a way for all filters applied after an initial filter be "and" conditions on top of the initial filter ? Is that setting available today ? ------------------------------ ARIC WALKER ------------------------------0Views0likes0CommentsReport font coler versus Dashboard font color
