Why are only certain Sessions from Empower available to view?
I was under the impression that if we missed a session live, we could go back and watch it. This does not seem to be the case, as the two I was most interested in (New Forms, and API's/3rd Party Integrations) are not available. Does anyone know if they will be available in time? Virtual Empower 2021 FAQ
Our community is a place where builders share their expertise and insight every day to help others unlock the power of Quick Base. The first step to letting us know you are interested is as simple as signing up right here. Important Info Most Empower sessions are one hour in length. Prepare for 45 minutes of content followed by 15 minutes of Q&A. We are looking for sessionsin two categories: Technicaland Non-technical.Review the Submission Requirements for suggested topics in each category. For technical submissions, you’ll be asked to identify the skill Level/Focus that your sessionaligns to. The options are: New Builder:Share practical development skills with new app builders and empower them to solve problems. Intermediate Builder:Delve into Quick Base features and demonstrate how they can be combined to automate tasks, optimize processes and deliver meaningful solutions. Hackathon looks like a lot of money, I like the challenges. But it is real work and I've got a day job to do. Anyone entering or teaming up have an strategy to make a go of it? Chicago Community Summit Q&A!
In two weeks the Quick Base team will be spending the day in Chicago! We couldn't be more excited! If you live in the area or happen to be in Chicago on 9/25, I hope you'll join us! With the Chicago Summit right around the corner it is a great time to start introducing ourselves and getting excited for the summit. So we are going to jump right in and break the ice andI'll get us started by introducing myself. I am Evan the community manager here at Quick Base. I got started working at Quick Base in 2016 as a member of our Care team and then transitioned into working on our Quick Base Community. This has given me the opportunity to interact with a huge range of Quick Base problem-solvers both here in the community and at places like Empower and our community summits. Not everyone likes having to write up an open ended bio so we do have a few suggestions if you aren't sure what to say: 1.Do you have a favorite place in Chicago to visit that we absolutely shouldn't miss out on? 2. If you could snap your fingers and suddenly have any skill mastered what would it be? 3. Do you have a Quick Base feature you feel you have mastered or one you are really curious to learn? 1.I have only been to Chicago once and it was years ago, but I do remember the Art Institute of Chicago had a great collection (I'm a bit of an art buff) 2. If I could snap my fingers right now and suddenly have a skill mastered I would have to go with carpentry. I have always been jealous watching people who just know how to build things from scratch like that. 3.I am really interested to build out my skills more when it comes to APIs and integrations. Especially as we add Cloudpipes to our Quick Base offerings. I'm fortunate to have the chance to travel for work a couple of times a year, and there are two things I always try to do when I do: 1. drink a local beer and 2. catch a baseball game if I can. This year will be my second Empower and I'm super excited and also ready to venture a little bit off the official social agenda. It happens that the Miami Marlins are hosting the St. Louis Cardinals this June while we'll all be in town. The Empower Agenda Overview shows Tuesday night as open - I assume this is a night where there's an official-but-optional outing, like last year to see the bridge bats? There's a baseball game at 7:10pm that night. The ballpark looks to be about a half hour cab ride from the conference location. I figure I'll almost certainly go myself, but I thought it might be even cooler to see if any other Empower-ers were interested in catching a ballgame. Who knows the next time we'll all be in Miami during baseball season! So, anybody interested in going to see Cardinals @ Marlins, Tuesday 6/11 at 7:10pm?QuickBase Certification: Continuing Education Requirements (Reporting 201 Solve Common Reporting Issues)
Hello all! I was completing some of the continuing education to maintain certification and I noted a fourth course in the CE section called "Reporting 201 Solve Common Reporting Issues". This doesn't appear to be structured like the previous three CE - it seems to be a webinar. My question is this: does one need to sit through the webinar as a part of the CE requirement to maintain certification next year automatically? Or is this just something supplemental offered for those that are interested or perhaps even just stored in the wrong category on QuickBase University? Thanks in advance!
