Exporting QR Codes in bulk for label making and inventory
Hello All, I use quickbase to keep track of industrial equipment as well as inspect and keep records of said equipment. Each piece of equipment has QR code linked to it directly in quickbase. I am trying to export both the data and the images so II can print them out with a Brady labeler. My issue right now is the only file format offered is CSV which does support images. I am curious if anyone else has run into this issue and has a solution. ------------------------------ Phil Heron ------------------------------562Views0likes8CommentsData import error
Each week, I import (clipboard) a specific type of data to the same table in my app. Today I attempted to import as I always do, and was presented with this error: "The following required fields are missing from your import data: `Deliverable Cycle Month`" (it does this for different req'd fields if I add the one it mentions to the clipboard import). The app hasn't changed and the import data format hasn't changed. Has something in Quickbase changed that would cause this error? ------------------------------ Matt Makris ------------------------------146Views0likes2CommentsWhen importing a file into a child table in QuickBase, the parent lookup fields are not appearing in the import mapping options.
I am trying to import a file into a child table in QuickBase. After importing the data, I am unable to see the relationship between the child record and the corresponding parent record in the parent table. ------------------------------ manohar vankireddy ------------------------------158Views0likes14CommentsHow to prevent import date cell formatting to CSV?
Hi The date cell formatting is exported to the CSV file. When I hit "download report as CSV" the formatting for date cell is saved into the CSV file showing this: <span style="white-space: nowrap; "><span style="color: blue; font-weight: bold; white-space: nowrap;">06-17-2022</span></span> How this can be prevented or resolved? Hello All, This question may sound very simple but I am trying to find the most efficient way to tackle this issue and was wondering if anyone has run across this problem before. I created a table to make a process more efficient for one of our departments. Long story short they still tracked items in Excel and had multiple versions of this tracker on random machines. There are multiple states that have different needs so I created a few conditional drop down fields to clean up what each user sees when creating a record. All of that works fine when entering a new record. In order to keep users from simultaneously working in QB and Excel I wanted to "normalize" the legacy data and import it into QB. I have already made sure the data fits the new form but when I go to import the legacy data none of the conditional fields will update with the values coming in from Excel. I guess that makes sense since a child record gets added to the tables holding the conditional values when a new record is saved and a simple upload may not allow for that to happen. I am thinking I will have to create a pipeline but wanted to ask if anyone has run across this issue and come up with a solution. Currently I am testing this out with only one state, with minimal data, but if and when the broader release happens I am going to have to upload 10k plus records, so manual data entry is not an option. Thanks in advance for any help you may provide. ------------------------------ John Arniotis ------------------------------43Views0likes3CommentsCopying records to another table without the restrictions
Hello fellow Quick Base Conquerers. I have our HR app set up in one application and I want all employees to be able to see only their file. I can do this with the restrictions in place only allowing then to see if they are a QB user assigned to the file. I WANT them to be able to see Name, Title, Company (We have a few companies but want one company directory) company phone number, company email, and tenure of time. The only way I can see doing this is allowing full access in one app and *see above access* for the HR app. Outside of doing double data entry I can not seem to figure out if this is possible. I created a pipeline to create a new record in the new app but I think the restrictions are carrying over. I also tried it in zapier. Any thoughts? ------------------------------ Jennifer Meyer ------------------------------33Views0likes4CommentsUnable to create connected tables between Apps
Hello, I setup the connection correctly and don't have issues with a lot of other tables. However, certain tables I'm trying to setup as a connected table from another app is giving me the issue below when selecting the table and trying loading to the "Select Fields": Reading the QuickBase API_GetSchema response from https://h2oinnovation.quickbase.com/db/bg7ijapzy?act=API_GetSchema failed.XMLStreamException: ParseError at [row,col]:[65,24] Message: Invalid byte 1 of 1-byte UTF-8 sequence. I'm aware that the issues is due to special characters not being recognized, but after running the Mixed Encoding Scanner, it's showing me that there are 15,771 errors! The majority are simple apostrophes that were not showing as the mini diamond with a question mark like they are now. I know that the UTF-8 setting is supposed to be prevent this, but it's been on from the beginning (still is) and I'm still having the character's showing as unrecognized. So even if I did fix the existing errors, they're still popping up instantly. There are plenty of errors from being copy and pasted from emails which I could understand (almost exclusively apostrophes), but a lot of them are typed in directly into the system too, so I don't know what's going on. Please help and feel free to ask any question. Thanks! Thanks ------------------------------ Ryan Peterson ------------------------------83Views0likes0CommentsDuplicate records created
Something bad has happened in my Qbase. Duplicate records have been created! I have been messing around with pipelines which could have caused this problem. What is the best way to find duplicates in my [JOB NUMBER] field in my JOBS table? I can then go to the report and delete duplicates. thank you ------------------------------ BuildPro ------------------------------83Views0likes1CommentMS SQL and Access Database to QuickBase
We merged with a company that has a legacy application on a local physical server that has a MS SQL backend and an Access frontend. Does anyone know a third-party company that works on migrating these sorts of applications to QB? I see some services that move Access to QB (Juiced being one), but I am not sure what extra wrinkles are added with the MS SQL backend. Thanks. App A has a join table field for projects and organizations to allow multiple organizations to be added in an embedded form within App A. In each each join table in each App Project Field: Relates back to the "projects" table in the respective app Organization Field: App A (source of truth), App B - uses a connected table from App A Would like App B to use populate the field correctly when its information is imported to App A in a daily automation. Projects from App B are imported over to App A daily - should I create a relationship in App B to the the project table in App A or use the one in App B. The related project needs to match up in both Apps to make the import process work? ------------------------------ Lashell Thomas ------------------------------10Views0likes0Comments
