Viewing files across realms

Has anyone tried to create a report link to view files across realms? I can't get it to work, but perhaps that makes sense. 

I am syncing a table across a realm, and I have multiple child tables with files on the source side. Anyone know how I can get a file link across realms....?

    What is not working?  What are the symptoms? Do the users have access to the the target records?

      In the report link where you 'Select Target', I can't even choose the target I want. (Well, technically, I can click on the dot to 'choose' it, but it wont let me hit OK, and actually select it and complete the process).
