Notifications

    I have several notifications and every time the notification gets emailed one comes from notify@quickbase.com and one comes from my email. How do I turn one of these off? Getting two emails for every notification is excessive.

    Those symptoms would seem to suggest that in fact there is more than one notification in place. I suggest that you review the list of notifications and see if you have inadvertently duplicated a notification.

    I have three notifications that are triggered differently. One is an add and the other two are modifies. If I am in a record and email it to myself I also get two emails. I would like only one if possible.

    Can you try to post a screenshot of those two modify notifications?  Are the duplicates only happening when a record is modified or also when a record is added?

    I think that you will need to have someone get on a screen sharing call to look at the actual Email Notifications that you have set up.  So either a support Ticket to Quickbase or else contact me directly by the email address in my signature line.

    I deleted and recreated the notifications and that seems to be working but when I email a viewed record I get two email from Quickbase and myself.

    The fact that deleting and re-creating the notification fixed the problem is an indication that there was definitely something really buggy under the covers.

    When you say you view and then email a record to yourself it comes twice,  man that is also really weird too. So definitely a question for Support.

    I'd also suggest check that you don't have any auto-forwarding or other rules in place in your email account. In other words, suppose Quickbase was sending the intended notification one time, but it's possible that your receiving address could have forwarding rules or do something else with the received email.

    Or maybe try disabling your QB notifications, then enable each one by one to test to help identify the culprit. Perhaps an automation is triggered when a record is saved (so the emails goes out on modify), but an Automation/Form Rule/Pipeline could also modify the data cause a subsequent email to be sent?

    I did have an forwarding rule that I forgot about and that is why some were single and some were double. Thank you!
