Email Formula Field

Hopefully, an easy one, though I couldn't find an answer anywhere.

I am using a formula - email address field to combine 2 email fields into one. What is the correct way to combine them in the formula (are they comma delimited)?

I currently have:
[customer email] & ", " & [user email]

It will be used in some formula fields as well as in some notifications to send to 2 emails (the creator of the record and customer)

I've tried something similar a while ago and I'm not trying to discourage you but I gave up.
Eventually I came to the conclusion that sending notifications to external and none registered email addresses didn't work .
During my testing i tried the ';' as separator  to send email to internal and registered email addresses and that seemed to work fine.
