warning pop-up

Is there anyway to have QuickBase show a warning pop-up window when someone tries to save a record  and a specific field is  empty. We do not want to make that field to be required.

    Hi Mike,

    One option is to make use of Custom Data Rules, they allow you to set rules using the Quickbase formula language on a table that will prevent a save and pop up a warning. Then if you wanted a way to get around the warning you could add in a checkbox field next to the field you do not want to require that simply says N/A or something of your choice and if they check that checkbox then they are able to save with no value in the field.
