add child record using automations when creating records in parent table

When adding records to a parent table I want to create multiple child records for each parent record added. For example I upload 100 sites for a project and each project has 10 tasks so on the upload I need to have 100 sites and 1000 task created with the tasks connected to the projects. The example is smaller in number compared to reality.
 I have used various methods, automations, actions and copy detail but keep failing. I can add one record and use a button to add afterwards but that is not the need.

Any ideas?

    It is a complete failure, at best I can create tasks but never have them assigned to the projects.

    It should be possible to get this working, for sure if there are less than 20 parent records being imported at a time as the max rate threshold is 20 per second.  it might need some one on one assistance to get this working.

    If you always have ten standard tasks you can have the Automation have 10 steps to create 10 children.

    Mark - I appreciate the responses and there was a way, all I needed was a night away from the work. The problem is I was adding to a table then wanting to modify to relate the records. I made another numeric field to store the parent record id in the child record when making the child records. Then added another automation that when a child record is added and the field is populated it will then copy the parent record id into the related field. It works perfect...a night away always helps.

    Yes, I get many epiphanies in the shower in the morning or driving.  Driving is more dangerous as I have missed my same exit I have taken 1,000 times before due to being lost in mental Quick Base trying to connect the required Relationships dots in my head.
