Automation - update parent

I have two table 

Lead table (Parent) 
Activity table(Child)

When I add automation record in my apps 
Trigger -- Activity record added
Action : update lead table fields with new value from child table.

apps not allow me to save the automation.

Is automation not work from child to parent or I miss something ?

    Hi Feras,
    I am not sure what you mean by the Apps not allowing you to save the automation. Also, I do not think that you need to use an automation to set the values inside of the parent. You can do this natively with table-to-table relationships. You can add a summary field of the maximum Record ID # of Activities table into the Leads table, and then you can add another table-to-table relationship with the Lead record being the child using that field.  You can then bring any information in the last Activity record created up into Leads.​ That way any changes made inside of the Activity are automatically reflected inside of the Lead.

      Let me give more detail

      activity table(child) have fields (Next follow date and confidence percentage) ,
      I have same fields name in parent table (Lead)

      I want to keep Last update in Lead table. I'm thinking if I create an automation 
      trigger whenever a record added in activity table
      action copy next follow date from activity table to lead table
      action copy confidence percentage from activity table to lead table

      when I'm try to save the action is not allowed . save button not highlight to press and mouse pointer change to circle red with slash.

        Maybe post a screen shot of your setup.  Did you set a filter?
