Changing a Field Based on a Reltionship

I am entering contract information into QB. One of those fields is related contracts for things like amendments. If I enter an amendment, how can I pull data from the original contract and have it pop...

Can you describe you two tables and the relationships? Which is the One and which is the Many.

I guess the follow up is, can I make them related to each other. It is not a true relationship, I just enter the original contract on the amendment.

Hi Bret,

So all of your contracts are in one table and you want to pull data over from one contract to another since they are like a template or because they are related to one another? Do you have a relationship set up relating that table to itself?

  Yes, just one table.
  
  I want to pull data from the amended contract to the amending contract. The existing to the new one.
  
  I did not know you could set up a relationship in the table. That would solve my other issue I think.
