Copying the Structure of the App

Question

Hello,I'm looking to test a couple changes to an app. I don't have access to sandbox so want to copy the structure of the apps without data. The user base for the app is fairly active, usually with 10-20 people using the apps at any one time during working hours. So I'm concerned about any momentary pauses in the live database when I go to make a copy. Could this be a problem? Will the live database be affected at all by making a copy of the structure?&nbsp;Thanks in advance for any info!------------------------------Harrison Ray------------------------------

It only take a few seconds to copy an app. Yes it will pause the other users, but unless you have a huge amount of data in the app, it will copy within about 5 seconds.

Thanks Mark for the quick response!&nbsp;I'm also wondering if the "copy structure" function is accessible to all qb "plans." I believe we use the Premiere option, which is why we don't have access to the sandbox.------------------------------Harrison Ray------------------------------

You can always copy an app.&nbsp; That option is under settings for the app, and then in App Management.&nbsp; But the copy of the app is a separate app that has its own separate life. Thanks Mark. One by one checking off any possible issues here! Really appreciate it.Do you know of a way to find out the size (in terms of MBs) a copy of the structure would be? We're worried about possibly hitting a data cap with our plan. When we make a copy without the data, it won't include any of the record IDs or anything other that the structure map, right?------------------------------Harrison Ray------------------------------
