Create a field that can log changes made to the record

Question

In 2017 QuickBase&nbsp;Empower, someone showed me how they are recording all the changes made to the record in a text field. It logs username, time, changed made etc.How can we build this field?&nbsp;

I'd make a bet that they are utilizing an 'action' to watch for when things are changed. Then writing the user, data/time to normal fields on the records.

Or you could create child records based on that change as well.

Changes originate in the browser so there is no good reason to create an action. This demo introduced the idea of detecting changes to various fields through script on the new/edit form and appending a short message to the text logging filed. You can make your own changes to records and see them logged after you save the form.
