Create, save and view from Dashboard Button

The main goal I am trying to accomplish is to have a user create a new record from a button on a dashboard, and on that record there is a 'Save and Import' button. This button runs a T2T import, then returns to the newly created record utilizing the %%rid%% function.

However, on mobile the &rdr function does not work, so I have no way of returning to the newly created record. 

My thought is to possibly Create, Save, and View from the dashboard button, but I am not sure this is possible?

Is this possible, and if not, any other ideas to make this work?
