Creating a form template that has some pre-selected tasks in it.

I suggest having a table of standard tasks. These may be categorized by the Work Order Type.

Then you would have a pipeline which would trigger when a new Work Order is created and it would search through the qualifying standard tasks for that Work Order Type  in on a For Each Loop, it would add a child task record to the Work Order which triggered the pipeline.
