Disable Grid Edit at Report Level?

Is it possible to disable grid edit at a report level?  

I'm familiar with the role/table based setting which can turn off grid edit...but was curious if grid edit access could be set at a report level

My scenario is I want users to have the ability to grid edit  a specific set of fields but not all fields.  So I created a report that only includes those fields which should be edited and want that report to support grid edit, but in parallel I'd like to turn off grid edit ability on the default (List All) table report

    Two choices. 


    If you make a second form either with the fields you want In Grid Edit or a blank form, then you will be offered options by report as to use your Grid Edit Form to control the Grid Edit Columns or else to disable. 


    The other trick can be to make formula mirror field of some field you don't want to allow editing. For example Customer Name might be a proxy field you don't want edited. Put the formula field on the report and it's not editable.
