Exact form URL available to non-users

I have a couple of exact forms in my application that are used for generating estimates and invoices that we can send to our customers. In the interest of simplifying the process for my project managers (will will mostly be working from tablets) I want them to be able to click the "Print Estimate" button that pulls up the exact form, copy the URL and then paste it in an email to the customer. The problem is that when I tested this, the person has to be signed in to view the exact form URL. Is there a way to make just certain exact forms available to "Everyone on the internet"?

If I'm understanding correctly you just want to send a copy of the quickbase form to your customers?...
If that's correct you can just use the QB email button and save some steps

Unfortunately our quickbase form contains information that we don't want the customer to have access to and the exact form is formatted to read as an invoice so sending a copy of the form to them won't work in this case
  • Eventually all of my clients end up using Juiced Exact Forms plus.  They eventually need a customer facing document or sometimes a Purchase Order which needs to look very professional in PDF format as an email attachment.  Juiced can help you with that and I also do training and setup of those.

    There is a demo here.

Yes, there is an extra monthly fee as this is from Juiced and not Quick Base, but this way the customer receives a PDF, and that format is quite accepted in the business world.  (it also can create a .docx format, but that would typically be for internal use if you had to hand edit an invoice.)

I'm aware of Juiced technologies and if it was up to me then I would 100% use a couple of their add-ins . Unfortunately the owner of the company/my boss does not want to spend the extra money.
Until I get the budget to use those, I only have two options:

A-We just use the exact form and microsoft's print to PDF, then attach to the email that my quickbase app generates(Through a URL button)

      or

B-I am able to share the link to each exact form that is generated so that my project managers can just copy and paste the URL into that email.

I'm trying to get option B to work because most of my project managers work exclusively on tablets and getting the exact form that is generated into a pdf on their tablet for them to attach is a little too technical for them.

Maybe use QB actions to populate the fields you want your customers to see into another form and use the QB email button.
  • Another solution is to create a Sync table and make it an a separate app which is open to the internet.  Just include the fields that customers should see.

Would there be a way to write a formula in my formula button that saves the generated estimate into a file attachment field?

Not that I am aware of.  That would require some kind of script.
