Form Tabs Dynamic Rule Limitations

I have a table that includes a multi-select field called impacted paths.  It has 6 options.  Now, imagine for each option that I have a build lead field (List-User), a target completion date field, team phase field, and team status field (e.g. Compensation - Build Lead, Compensation - Target Completion Date, Compensation - Team Phase, Compensation - Team Status).  Okay, in the form for the table I created 6 tabs, one preceding each of the subsets of fields.  Now, in the dynamic rules I created logic that said if the Impacted Path contains Compensation, show the tab and the 4 associated fields.  Easy, right?  I wrote a similar rule for each of the 6 choices in the impacted path field.  So here's the problem i'm running into.  When I select either of first two options in the sequence of fields in the elements list everything works fine.  But, if i select any of the other 4 options, only the tab name appears and not the fields.  I've built two applications and this scenario happened in both application.  What in heaven's sake is going on?  I opened a QB ticket and they haven't been able to figure it out yet.  Wondering if anyone else has seen this?

  • Are there any pink form rules warnings?

Not sure this is your scenario, but I have had issues hiding the FIRST tab on forms and discovered a bug, but need to scroll back through my care cases to find what it was. I also have discovered bugs with tabs and dynamic rules on mobile specifically. So if your issue is on mobile, try on desktop and see if it is specifically mobile.

This may not be specifically helpful to you, but I know I have run into bugs with dynamic form rules and tabs.

Negative, there were no pink form rule warnings.  I only have 8 rules, 6 of which apply to the different options in the multi-select field.  I was very diligent in making sure there were no form rule overlaps.  This has been the strangest experience i've had with Quickbase to date.
