5 years agoOK, so I think that you are saying that One Dataset has many Reports. That is how we talk about Relationships in Quickbase.
If you look at a dataset record, do you have an embedded child table there for Reports?
Conversely, if you look at any Reports record is the field for Related Dataset populated? ie, just because you make a relationship, the parents and children don't automatically know how to attach to each other, unless they are done by manual data entry or if the child record has a formula to calculate the key field of the parent.

Yes, both have related records for parent/child and you're right, there is a one to many relationship from Dataset to Report.

OK, so you are saying that there is a relationship and indeed the parents are connected to the children.
Did you go to the relationship and create a lookup field for the Range Covered field to get that down to the child records?

I don't know how to create lookup fields yet, I really don't know how to use QuickBase...

------------------------------ - JemmaDicks5 years agoQrew TraineeDon't worry, i've figured it out. I went to the relationship between the tables, and added the 'date range covered' field as a lookup value. Then I updated my formula to show this field if the checkbox was checked.
It only took me a day! :-P
