I need a summary field for the number of tickets created on a given day. There are a few options, but I guess the easiest would be to use the ticket number. I am not sure if this is the reason the process isn't working, but the ticket number is the key and is a lookup field. I am trying to do something similar to what you suggested in a previous answer to this post. I have a table with the tickets and a days table with an automation to add the current date each day (I am not concerned about back dating the process since this part of the app is not live yet). But I am not getting the relationship or your suggested snapshot working at the moment. I need a few breadcrumbs to get this working.

Qrew LegendTo play the devil's advocate, why not just make a summary report of the # of tickets and group by day. ie why do you think you need a "field"?

------------------------------- MarkShnier__You... well you can use Excel to upload all the dates for the next 10 years. Set the date field as the Key field.
Then make a relationship to your children based on a mirror formula field of the date of your detail record. ie make a formula field equal to your date field on your record. But it will not allow using [Date Created] as a component of the formula field.
