How can i get my summary report to sort from newest to oldest?

the default sorting for summary reports is oldest to newest. How can I get my report to sort  newest to oldest. If i turn on group columns, which I need to do, I can't control the sort function. Anyone have an answer?

    The only solution I know if would be to make a table report with a Key field in the format YYYYMM. Load it up with YYYYMMs for the next 10 or 20 years or so via excel.

    Then summarize your data up to that table and you will be in complete control, as it will then be a simple table report. (make a reference formula field to calculate the YYYYMM on the details table)
