how do you delete records from a table? I'm just learning this software and it seems that NOTHING is intuitive!

If delete does not show, it would appear you do not have permission to delete in your role.  I can only assume at this point that you are not the application administrator.  My best advice at this time is to fine the application administrator withing your organization to delete the records or adjust your permissions.
