How to not keep any file attachment revisions?

I am very surprised I can't find the answer to this - I have a file attachment field that I do not want to keep ANY revisions on. I only want the current version to exist and any previous versions to be deleted. But this isn't a field property setting you can turn off? You also can't change it to keep 0 revisions. The inability to do this seems very strange.

    Hi,

go into the properties for the file attachment field and you will see where you can set revisions to none.

  • The only options are "Keep all revisions" and "Keep the last [insert number here] revisions" and you can't change that number to 0. I don't see any other place to change the revision settings. Where are you trying to say I can set it to none?

It sounds like you found the properties for the file attachment field. I cannot answer why you are not able to set revisions to zero. If I click the radio button, "Keep the last _____ " .
  • The 1 means to only keep 1 revision, which is the file you uploaded.  So you are only keeping just the one file that you uploaded.  There is no zero as then you would not be able to upload even 1.

Right, it defaults to 3, but you can change that.

Ok this response makes sense haha. To word it that way is confusing, as in my head I wasn't considering the current version a "revision."

      Thanks!
