If you are looking to have an Action automatically write back to a Parent Record, you can make a Report Link field to indicate which record to be edited.. then use that Report Link field in your Action.
For example, to match up on the left side if the Report Link field configuration of [Related Parent] and in the right side navigate to the Record ID field if the Parent. But I�m guessing as to what you want to accomplish here and what would be the trigger for the Actiion to fire.
